The other day I went to the brewery to buy some sake. Sake that I went all the way to the brewery to buy tastes especially good.

The Yuki Brewery is currently rebuilding after a fire last year. I'm drinking it while watching a special on the Yuki Brewery on NHK.

Next, after paying a visit to Kasama Inari, we went to Sasame Sohei Shoten. We then went to a soba (buckwheat noodle) restaurant on the street in front of the gate and had a glass of Sasame Sohei Shoten's Shoroku along with their specialty Soba Inari. The menu said it was simply local sake, but it was, of course, Shoroku.

Today we are going on a sake brewery tour in Kasama.
First, we went to Isokura, a new sake culture tenement on the grounds of Isokura Sake Brewery near JR Inada Station.
They had a stone oven pizza in celebration of its opening, so we enjoyed sake and pizza.

Junmai-shu "Kitashizuku" is a continuation of the sake from Hokkaido's Akikashichi, produced by Akira Takada, aka Miss Machinaka.
This is the last sake I bought this time and I am looking forward to the next one!

The last time I drank this sake, it was Hokkaido's Akikana 7, produced by Aki-San Takada aka Machinuka Miss.
This is a sake called "Comet" brewed in 2022. I haven't been to Hokkaido for a while, but I want to go back.

I bought a bottle of sake produced by Ms. Akira Takada, who is well known as "Machinuka Miss" in "Let's drink at Machinuka," Aki Hana, a sake produced by Hakodate Brewery in Hokkaido. Ms. Takada is a sake lover and came to Ibaraki, so I bought this sake to commemorate her visit.

As a cat lover, I was interested in the "Hananai" sake with a thieving cat label.
I was also curious about Nishioka Honten in Makabe, Sakuragawa City, as it was recently featured on NHK's "Small Journey.

This is a freshly squeezed unfiltered unpasteurized sake only available at this time of the year. The slight effervescence is pleasant.

Niida Honke's Kinpou. I thought it was a brand that had already disappeared when the brewery changed hands, but I see they are still making it. I loved #Kinpô Shizen Sake.

Sake toasted online with Mr. Kazuhiko Ota.
It was my first time drinking sake, but it was so much fun to think that I was drinking the same sake as Mr. Ota and the other participants.

I always drink local sake at New Year's, and this year it was Kikumori from Naka City.
I remembered that there was a Kikumori square.

To commemorate my Ibaraki sake sommelier S class (?) I was given a special sake cup as a complimentary gift to commemorate my Ibaraki Sake Sommelier Level S (?), and I was served Kikumori Junmai Barrel Sake from the Kiuchi Sake Brewery in Naka City, which is next door. It is probably the closest sake brewery to my house.
