A few years ago, I was told the name "Matsumoto" when I was recommended to him at an izakaya in Kyoto as a "pear-like sake".
I didn't get to ask him about the fine brand, so maybe it wasn't Junmai that he drank then.
Word of mouth says it was pear-like, but I think it was more pear-like, is that a beautification of my memory?
