Hochozuru's extra edition (*ω`*)
Every once in a while, a super dry sake is released with various types of rice.
It's a series that I buy when it's released!
The aroma is gorgeous for a super dry sake!
The taste is still very dry, but it has a juicy flavor.
The dryness matches better when heated up!
The purple label Omachi I bought before was great, but this one is just as good!
If I remember correctly, I think this one is drier!
Mr. Ota is a re-run of Bikan Historical Quarter!
The Bikan Historical Quarter has many unique sake shops and is a very good place for sake lovers!
I guess he didn't have time to visit a liquor store because he was touring museums, which is part of his day job.
Today's bottle is Hochotsuru from Yamaguchi Prefecture. It has a good acidity and is very sharp, so it goes well with strong snacks. I will pair it with grilled chicken 🐔, wakamegi hittomoji guruguru 🌀 style (my style) 😄, and avocado wasabi 🥑. The best marriage 😋.
Memorandum
First time tasting Hochozuru
Rare sake rice called "kuranto" is also rare.
A clear and mild flavor.
The aftertaste is short and clean.
Guranto rice produced in Yamaguchi Prefecture
Polishing ratio 60
Alcohol content 15.5

I was given an "eat coupon" by an innkeeper on a summer trip, and I had to consume it, so I bought it at a destination I went to. It's a nice, clean, dry beer, and it's great when chilled. I drink it while watching ballet 🏐.
Umamama super dry 🦋
It's more like a mellow summer sake with less sweetness than dry.
I wondered if it would go well with warabimochi (rice cakes). I thought it would go well with warabimochi,
but the warabimochi was also not very sweet and subtle 😅.
I think it would be the best match with sashimi 😋.
Izakaya Shinkansen Modoki①
On the way back from Yamaguchi business trip, I went to Izakaya Shinkansen Modoki (izakaya shinkansen) as usual.
Hoping that there is no one next to me,
(If the person next to me is also a drinker, I don't have to worry about it 😅)
Today we went to Houtori Tsuru.
I knew the name, but this is my first time to drink it!
When I drank it, I got a solid and sturdy image.
(The label pops though)
But, I also feel sweetness and sourness?
A little crisp? A bit strong?
If I had to divide it into two categories, would I say it's dry? Dry? It's not light.
Today's dish
Harekaze
Hochotatsuru
Harada
Char-grilled Chicken Harami
Isobe-ten (small sardine fish)
Salad roll
Chochoten
Fresh Green Tea Gairo
Since I had a late lunch today, I avoided a gutty menu and went light 😜.
Not that it really matters, but I bought some Iyemon Yuzu-cha (yuzu tea) to drink instead of water for relaxation.
It tastes good, but is it more like yuzu juice than tea?
Okayama, still light outside ☀️
Sorry, everyone!
After all, it's more refreshing to drink while looking at the scenery outside than in total darkness 😘No one comes next to me ✌️
Good evening, Takashi😄.
You're home already, aren't you? Welcome home 😆.
It's a splendid izakaya shinkansen 🚅!
I'd be surprised if there was a person sitting next to me having a party like this 🤣 but I might be jealous ❗️
Good morning, HinaHanaMama 😊.
I knew it 😅.
The lady sitting next to me yesterday must have been pulled over too 😂.
She might have told someone that she ran into a strange uncle 🤣.
I'll try my best not to be discouraged 🥳.
Good morning, Takashi 😃.
Shinkansen...no, this is an izakaya 🏮😳.
I laughed at the amount of alcohol and the seaweed rolls sticking out of the seat next to me 🤣.
Good morning, Hiro 😊.
Shin-Yamaguchi to Shin-Yokohama, 4 hours, so that's about the amount of food 😅.
The trick is to empty a plate around Shin-Yamaguchi - Okayama, where the probability of people coming next to you is low because the table is full 🤣🤣.
Hi, Takashi 😃.
I like it 🤗every time I visit the izakaya 🏮 it's getting a little bit more 🤗I guess the day will come soon when we will even use the table next to ours 😁.
Good evening, Jay and Nobby 😊.
I'm gradually getting the hang of the izakaya shinkansen 🤣.
(useless experience 😝)
It's not like on TV, but really, if you go with two people, you can drink comfortably 😁.
Very spicy assertion and juicy flavor(s).
It is a raw sake that goes especially well with salty food, and it also goes very well with warmed sake.
The bonito sakataki (dried bonito) went really well with it!
Mr. Ota lives in the Bikan area
The Bikan Historical Quarter is a great place for sake shops, but Mr. Ota's main profession is art, so he was touring the art museums!
I'm a fool, so I can't understand a word of what he says when I look at art!
Hello Shinjo-san 🐦.
Mr. Ota, the oyster tempura looked delicious: ❣️
I was reading your review last night while drinking heated sake. I was really hoping for some sake steal here 😆.
Hello....
Yellow chives, oysters, and mamakari, the mainstay of Okayama, are all here!
I was jealous of the cheap sake thief here, so I looked at it.
But I have to say, sakataki is the best with dry sake warmed up!
The last of the day.
This is also Yamada-Nishiki.
The flavor is smooth and gentle.
It is fresh and has a Yamaguchi feel.
The spiciness is added to the umami, and the aftertaste is smooth.
