The other bottle of sake I bought in Kumamoto was completely lukewarm, so I changed it with Fukuoka's sake that was standing by in the fridge.
We chose Kiku Bijin!
We got this sake in last week's business trip to Miyama city in southern Fukuoka prefecture.
It was a favorite of the poet Kitahara Hakushu, who wrote the title of the label while reading this sake.
I'm sure you'll agree that it's a great idea.
First, the aroma
A little bit of alcohol smell on the nose
The sake level is +4, which is a little dry, but you can feel the spiciness more than the number❗️
I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not. I wonder if it's the result of the "Yume Ikken" rice produced in Fukuoka Prefecture.

Kitahara Hakushu's sister married into the Kikubijin Sake Brewery, so this is a brewery with a connection to Kitahara Hakushu.
I missed the food at the opening of the brewery, but there was a long line of people waiting to try the steamed buns with sake lees.

We bought the Ura Junmai, which is usually only available at sake brewery openings, at the Fukuoka Online Sake Brewery Opening. It's a slightly dry, unpasteurized sake, which is good because it's fragrant but not overpowering.
