The other day, when my second son came back from the Shimanami Kaido and we had dinner with my oldest son and his girlfriend, my oldest son's girlfriend brought me a souvenir from her trip back to her parents' home in Saga. Among them was a bottle of sake 🍶.
Chiyoen Kuromatsu
I think she went back to Saga, but Kumamoto sake? Well, let's not get into details😅.
Dry sake
Sake with a refreshing taste
Light, traditional and delicious!
It's 300ml so I drank it in no time
The following is a list of our products.
Junmai Ginjo Ikeyama Meisui Brewing
Sanzan Village
The raw material rice is "Gohyakumangoku" produced in Sanzanmamura
Outside drinking.
Kyushu drinks at a Kyushu concept restaurant.
The color is a light amber.
No scent.
Slightly sweet on the palate with a refreshing watery taste.
As the label says, it is mild, refreshing, and easy to drink.
I went there with my sisters for lunch because there was a soba restaurant that my sister was interested in.
I wasn't planning to drink, but the soba mae looked so good that I ended up ordering some local sake.
It was delicious~!
A toast with Kumamoto sake at my parents' house in memory of my father.
Around my father who can only drink shochu, my daughters who can only drink sake.
It was the first time for me to drink Chiyono-en, but it was delicious.
☆☆☆☆ / Cold sake
It has a moderate spiciness, a sake-like quality, and a good throat feel.
It has the image of a standard sake that is easy to pair with meals.
Kumamoto's local sake, Sanzanmura
Slightly sweet ginjo aroma
A light, sweet mouthfeel with a soft acidity.
Like drinking fresh green apple juice
I drank too much and my memory is fuzzy
I'm not even sure of the notes I wrote at the time😅.
Anyway, it's delicious!
Sake brewed with sake rice grown by a pesticide-free method called "Koi Farming" in Sanzan Village!
Using the carp farming method, carp are released into the rice paddies 🌾🌾 to get rid of pests.
A few years ago, I drank Manbo from Kumamoto Kameman Shuzo, which was a sake made using the duck farming method🦆!
There are many people in Kumamoto who practice natural farming methods 🫶.
Year-end party at work.
We have it at a hotel every year so I can't enjoy the drinks or the food😅.
The only sake degree was this Chiyonen, so I drank it anyway.
It was neither good nor bad 😂.
It was a normal sake.
The hotel banquet fee was 1.5 times more than before Corona, and the food was 80% of the amount 😭.
I could drink anything at RIKI for this amount of money 🤣.
Good morning, TOMO-san!
I know it's getting expensive 😭I can see why you say you can drink 〰.
I expect this won't be the end of it and look forward to your drinking review 😊.
Souvenirs from a trip to Kumamoto
Seemingly recommended by a liquor store
Aroma of sour lactic acid drink
Sourness, sweetness, a little astringency, sourness
Sourness → sweetness → a little astringency → sourness
The rice flavor and richness is washed away by the astringency and sourness.
A little melon-like taste in the latter half.
I was surprised that there is a raw nigori sake in autumn.
It was delicious.
The sake I received from TOMO's petit offline in a few months. Thanks for the weight 😊.
I have never heard of Chiyono-en Sake Brewery. It's The Local Sake of Kumamoto. I looked it up on the internet and it seems to be an interesting brewery that makes sake that goes well with cocoa cigarettes.
This one was a kijoshu. It has a strong sweetness and acidity. I heated up half of it because I have a grandfather for sourness. Naturally, the sweetness increased and the acidity decreased.
The second season of the M-League is in its final stages. The catch-up from the bottom is amazing. The voices calling out and expectations are also amazing.
The star of the show will show up late, so they want us to stay calm and wait.
Yesterday was a disaster after that 😭.
I was so worried and worried and worried and worried and shaking my head a lot. I wonder if last week was a dream.
Hello, Nochi-san! I'm so glad to see you here 😄
I thought Chiyoen was a standard in Kumamoto? 🤔 but the Kijoshu is very rare... Like Choroki, I'll catch up soon, so wait for me... ❤️
Manachie-san Good evening. It seems to be a famous brewery of red sake in Kumamoto. I'm curious about the cocoa cigarettes, so if I lose at mahjong, I'll make a dedication sake.
Hello Ane-san, Mahjong is like that. If you keep licking the taste of honey, you will get tired of it, so let's take it easy while winning and losing! I'll be waiting for your drink.
Hello TOMO Thank you for the sake. It was delicious and enjoyable. I had heard of red sake. But I didn't remember the brewery. I hope to see you again when I come to Tokyo!
