Purchased at a sake brewery we happened to stop by when staying in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture. I also bought this and a bottle of rice wine, which I've been looking forward to since my wife's breastfeeding. The color is dark and the aroma is strong, the moment you put it in your mouth, you get a buzz, but after that it's easy to drink!

Wow! A really full flavored Sake with some punch. Genshu with 19% alcohol (oh no! I have an important work meeting tomorrow! 🫠) no Seimaibuai listed. Very rice-y flavor, to me. My wife says 山菜の苦味. Maybe we are not accustomed to Gohyakumangoku 五百万石 rice. I’m impressed with how well this Sake is pairing with heavy flavored food like garlic chicken, croquettes and pork sauté. (I almost feel sorry for our 七つ星 ご飯🍚) If you want to challenge the stereotype of what a Sake 🍶 is, please try this
