Begins with grace, but becomes rough & boozy. Although I personally didn't care for the contrast, it seems to be intentional & skillfully executed. ***
Fresh water nose, but very flavorful once you sip. Less easy-drinking than my go to bottle of theirs, but good in a different way. In spite of the burn, this was my favorite of the fall tasting flight. Excellent w/slightly sweet turnip pickle. ****
Fruity but only slightly sweet. After a 70-km bike ride on a hot summer day, it really hit the spot. Smooth with a lingering finish; best chilled. Don't know if it was psychosomatic or not, but aroma & slight sweetness reminded me of the sports drinks I'd been guzzling all day. ****
Described by waitress at Abe Liquor shop as "sukkari". So refreshing! Perfect for a summer night! Nihonshu equivalent of a gin & tonic. Fantastic gin& tonic flavors here, wow! *****
Omg smells like dessert! Respberry-chocolate-cream something. Very fruity & only a touch sweet. Best chilled. Good at first but got cloying after a few sips. ***
