The sake was easy to drink!
The mouthfeel was a bit mellow. It had the sweetness of sake, but not that fruity.
It was a little heavy for me, but it was delicious.
I think it would also be delicious heated, so next time I will try drinking it heated.
Happy New Year! I have combined some sake that I bought and some that I received. First of all, I drank Yobitomo to welcome the New Year. It's Kubota, so it's light and easy to drink. What should I drink next?
Yobitomo / #Asahi Shuzo (Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture)
This is a limited edition sake from Asahi Shuzo, famous for its "Kubota" brand. This brand is sold only at about 60 dealers, and only to the "Yobiyukai," a study group sponsored by Asahi Shuzo. It has a traditional ginjo aroma and elegant flavor similar to Kubota Manju. The aroma and taste are produced by polishing rice grown with less fertilizer to the utmost limit. The name "Tomo wo yobu" ("Calling Friends") is also very nice.
