Traveled to Niigata for one night from the 4th of GW😊The first day was in Niigata city! We went to Marchepia Bandai in Minato. I was going to take my time and eat some grilled seafood, but there were too many people, so I ate a rice ball and some grilled seafood and quickly left the place. Next, we went to Marinepia Nihonkai, and then went to an izakaya (Japanese-style bar) for the evening!
The first drink we had there was Hokusetsu Kinsei! I have always liked Sado sake, so I started with this one (^o^). The aroma is mild, and when you drink it from there, it has a moderate sweetness and a refreshing feeling. It is a sake that goes down smoothly without much sourness or bitterness! The aftertaste is also refreshing and goes well with anything! Other reviews say it tastes great warmed up. It is indeed true! Goes well with fried tofu from Tochio and sashimi!
Made with 100% Koshi-tanrei rice certified by the Japanese government as "Toki (egret) certified".
I was really curious about this sake made by three "female brewers from scratch" and opened my wallet even though I don't usually buy sake in this price range for a four-pack 👛.
It's my favorite Hokusetsu, so I decided to splurge once in a while. ❤︎
I think it would be a nice gift for a girl who comes in a nice box (inside is gold 🌟).
It's glamorous, but also has a core ✨.
Drinking at home, 19th bottle in 2024.
I met Kitayuki YK35 about 25 years ago at a soba (buckwheat noodle) restaurant on a business trip, and could not forget how delicious it was. I thought the bottle was blue with a square bottom, but now I was given a green bottle. How could it not be delicious?
Date of production: January 2024
Rice: 100% Yamadanishiki
Polishing ratio 35
It has a gorgeous aroma and a very fruity mouthfeel, but the aftertaste is rather refreshing and you will never get tired of drinking it. It was a very luxurious and delicious sake!
Sake from Sado Island. Hokusetsu
Sweetness in the mouth
When I say sweetness, I mean the taste of rice (sweetness).
This is Gohyakumangoku
A little bit strong taste
And a little sourness.
Maybe it's because it's at room temperature, but it's soft.
I like it.
This time it was a bottle, which is unusual for me.
Usually I carry a four-pack bottle in my backpack on my bicycle.
The last time my daughter came home, I rented a car to pick her up at the airport and go shopping.
I don't really need it, but sometimes when I drive, I feel like I have to buy a bottle! I think, "I have to buy a bottle!
