Sake for the first time in a long time.
I'll have a bottle of Marshal that was sleeping at home ✨.
Sweet but a little spicy? I like sweet, I guess. But it's delicious!
Is it what you call refreshingly light and dry? 🧐
Alcohol 20 degrees
They say the taste changes depending on the season. Next time I'll drink it consciously! 🧐
I was able to drop by Kurayoshi City in Tottori Prefecture this year, where I paid my hometown tax last year, and bought some Gensho again at the brewery! It's sweet and tasty (**)
I found this warehouse by chance in Kurayoshi Shirakabe Dozo group, which appeared on google map during a trip to San-in area. I had never heard of this brewery.
It is a junmai ginjo, a local sake with a ginjo aroma but a mild taste that is easy to drink. The "General" is said to refer to General Heihachiro Togo. The name was changed in 1907 when Emperor Taisho (Crown Prince at the time) and General Togo made their first visit to the San-in region. The visit of the first imperial family and heroes of the Russo-Japanese War must have had a considerable impact on the San'in region, as it led to the opening of an electric telephone and railroad line, an infrastructure development (had it not been opened before?). It is the same in all places in all ages that infrastructure is established at the time of a major event.
Tax included 650 (300ml)
I visited Tottori to visit the graves of my paternal ancestors.
I stopped by the brewery in Kurayoshi and bought a bottle.
It was fruity, umami, and sweet like rice.
Very tasty.
I packed the sake in my backpack and took the Super Hakuto back home. A pleasant memory of this summer.
I met him at a sake brewery in Kurayoshi City, Tottori Prefecture, during my Golden Week San-in and San'in-Sanyo Van Trip. I bought it immediately when I heard there was only fresh sake available now. The aroma was delicious. It is a perfect example of junmai ginjo. 85
On the second day of Hiruzen Kogen Camp, we will pass north from Hiruzen to the Tottori Sand Dunes.
This sake is from a brewery in Kurayoshi, where we stopped on the way.
The aroma is slightly sweet with a hint of freshness.
Mellow mouthfeel. It has a mild sweet and sour base flavor with a refreshing aroma, but it also has the umami of rice and a spicy flavor. The mild dryness makes it easy to drink.
It is very drinkable for its 14% alcohol content.
On this trip to Tottori, we also got a pair of Kokuzo ware cups from the same kiln in Kurayoshi.
It was a luxury to be able to enjoy the same local vessels ✨.
And one more thing, I found a store with a long line of people waiting in line while passing by in Kurayoshi. I stopped by and found that it was the restaurant of Tottori's famous beef bone ramen, Inoyoshi.
I had a luxurious beef bone ramen, and it was delicious!
After leaving Kurayoshi, we went to Tottori Sand Dunes.
Hi Hirupeko-san Good evening😃Camping in Hiruzenkogen is nice 🎵I'm from Okayama so I used to go camping in Hiruzenkogen in summer and skiing in winter 🎵I miss it 💡I've grown up and enjoy visiting breweries 😋I love San-in area's sake ❤️
Good evening, pyonpyon. I camped at the Tsuguro Plateau near Hiruzen and was healed by the rich nature 💕Okayama has a strong image of the Seto Inland Sea, but there are many good places in the northern part of the country as well 😆.
Thank you, Mame Ume 😊Camping local sake is the best! The beef bone ramen is also delicious 🍜✨, rich yet refreshing 🍜✨It was worth the U-turn when I saw the line 😆.
I went back home and toasted with my father-in-law and brother-in-law with local sake.
It has a slightly sweet taste and a clean aftertaste (or is it nothing?!). So it is an easy to drink sake☺️.
Opened August 24, 2022
Purchased at the brewery
Very smooth❗️
Mellow rice aroma and sweetness❗️
Really smooth and no unpleasant taste ^ ^ ^
It's a high grade 😆.
