At home. The second item of the sake tasting party. Wakayama Rashomon. I had the impression that it was a famous sake with a harsh name and a long history, so I thought it would have a strong alcoholic taste, but no matter what, it's very easy to drink. It doesn't have a gorgeous aroma like Raifuku, but you can feel the sweetness of the rice strongly in your mouth, and it has a clear and light taste, so you can go as much as you want.

Purchased at the Shinsaibashi Takashimaya Department Store on the recommendation of a store clerk. Rice used is unknown. The richness of the original sake can be felt. It does not have much of a nama-zake character, and is clear and clean through the throat, making it a sake that you will never get tired of drinking. Because of its name, I had always assumed it was a sake from Kyoto. I️ was surprised to learn that it was the first Japanese sake to win the Monde Selection gold medal, and that Wakayama is proud of this world-class sake. My sincere apologies 🙏.

The 21st brewery in the "Hankyu Brewery Festival 2023". Tabata Shuzo "Rashomon", Wakayama Prefecture The brewery's toji, Satoko Hasegawa, is the master brewer of "Drip Drip Zaishin" sake. The label Rashomon gives the impression of being ultra-classic, and although I had tasted it once, I had the impression that it was not to my liking. Rashomon Junmai Daiginjyo Nama-Nagara Sake 🔴. Rashomon Ginjo Bottle-stored Genshu Rashomon Houou Ginjo Nama Rashomon Junmai Daiginjo Bottle Storage Ruri Rashomon Junmai Daiginjo Rashomon Junmai Daiginjo Nakadori Bottle Storage Genshu I guess there are a lot of high-class sake. I didn't feel the classic feeling I had expected before, but considering the cost performance, "Rashomon Houou Ginjo Nama" left a strong impression because it was well-balanced with a strong umami flavor.

Hankyu Brewery Festival (1935) Rashomon, which I drank only once before. We tasted the following Rashomon Junmai Daiginjyo Nama-Nagara Sake Rashomon Ginjo Bottle-stored Unpasteurized Rashomon Houou Ginjo Nama Rashomon Junmai Daiginjo Bottle-stored Ruri Rashomon Ryuju Junmai Daiginjo Rashomon Junmai Daiginjo Nakadori Bottle-stored Genshu The Junmai Daiginjo Nama Sake is quite expensive, and is delicious as it should be. The Houou Ginjo-nama is a stable taste, although I have had a similar spec in the past. The label has changed, hasn't it? I'm sure the high class was good too 🤔. I'd like to visit this brewery since it's relatively close to JR Wakayama station. I don't know if they sell directly 🤔

Rashomon Houou Ginjo Unfiltered Nama Sake from Tabata Shuzo, sent by a friend. We started with boiled komatsuna with black seven spice, soy achar, and candied green plums, and then had a mini sukiyaki with leftover meat, which I forgot to photograph. The taste was very robust, not to be outdone by the black seven spice and the soy achard with its strong curry spice flavor.

I tasted this one at a Kintetsu Department Store. It is only available at Kintetsu Department Store. It is dry with a strong taste of rice. It goes down your throat nicely.

On the palate, one senses acidity and umami, but due to its 19% alcohol content, the bitter alcohol taste is felt well afterward. It is a sake that can be matched with dishes with a slightly strong flavor.
