I had plans to go to Saga by train.
I also had a preview of Kashima Sake Brewery Tourism.
I took a short detour on my way home 😁.
I went to HAMABAR for the first time in a while.
This place is located in Hizenhama Station in Kashima City, Saga Prefecture
You can enjoy Kashima city's sake at a reasonable price.
It is a sake bar where you can enjoy Kashima's sake at reasonable prices.
We ordered 3 kinds of new spring sake.
I also ordered a set of snacks with my favorite sake-kasu cheese.
We started with Sachihime's RISE.
The aroma is a gorgeous ginjo aroma.
Fruity, sweet and easy to drink 😊.
A bit spicy at the end.
It's been a while, but it's delicious✨.
✨SAGA BAR POPUP event✨
We went to 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
21 Sake breweries from Saga Prefecture were all there 😳!
Among them, ✨New Sake Comparison Set of 3 Sakes✨!
⤴︎ and choose 3 from 8 varieties!
1) Kouhime Sake Brewery
100% Reihou from Saga Prefecture!
Now, a sip... delicious 🥴👍!
Just the right amount of sharpness!
Refreshingly fruity ~ Delicious!
Good morning, Shishigami ☀️
Sounds like a fun event 😆👍I've never seen anything other than Kibo Tsuru and there are a lot of different drinks 😳‼️ looking forward to more 🎶.
Good evening, Pon-chan!
There are a lot of good Japanese sake in Saga Prefecture.
I was surprised to learn that there are a lot of good sake in Saga Prefecture ⤴︎🫢‼️
Please look forward to the rest of the story.
Rice used is Sagabiyori
The rice is aged at room temperature for about 2 years at home.
I remember that the color was originally a light yellowish color, but I think it has become slightly darker.
The flavor has a light aged feel, which is what I was aiming for.
The sweetness is also felt with a hint of zing.
It has changed a lot from the light, dry, and refreshing type.
It was a little sharp, so we left it for a while.
The corners were removed and it became more rounded.
Finally, I heated it up and it was the best ❣️
This was the first time I felt the fruity flavor in a heated sake.
I tried room temperature aging for the first time this time and was first of all satisfied.
I think I'm going to be addicted to it: ‼️
HAMA BAR②.
The second drink of the five-drink comparison is this one, which is written as "Laughing Sake" and reads as "Egushi". It is made from 100% Yamada-Nishiki rice grown under contract with local farmers.
The aroma was not very pleasant, but it was rich, mellow, slightly dry, and well balanced.
This HAMABAR is located in a station where trains rarely pass, but when he saw me drinking it, he asked me to have one too. He said he missed the train (the timetable of conventional lines had changed after the opening of the Shinkansen bullet train on 9/23) and had to kill two hours by touring sake breweries.
I laughed 🤭 because there was only laughing sake.
>Mr. Josephine
Hi!!!
I went to HAMA BAR the other day too 😋.
It's a great place ✨
That uncle was able to take his time to visit the brewery.
and it's a blessing in disguise 😆.
Good evening, Choroki!
This was my second visit to HAMA BAR since last May and it's great 😊.
I mean, I'm too envious of Auberge 😆 I really want to go here... and came back with a picture of the building ☺️.
HAMA BAR⑤.
The last one is "Kouhime" on the far left.
It has a slightly sour taste and is very impressive.
My friend said she could tell even blind.
Really?
The DEAR MY PRINCESS on the menu seems to have been very popular this season.
It seems to have been very popular this season and has been sold out.
I got the third one, RISE, instead.
Purchased with Tenryo sake cup at Okuhiroya in Kayashima.
They stocked it because it was well received at a Saga sake tasting event held for sake retailers. Probably not normally available in the Kansai region.
The rice is made from Hokkaido's Kitashizuku. I know Nabeshima also uses Kitashizuku.
It has a beautiful sake quality for the rice polishing ratio. There is a slight sweetness, but it is also slightly thin and heavy. It also has a nutty taste. It tastes like nothing else.
Last week's day trip to Nagasaki.
Actually, we didn't go straight home, but stopped along the way 😁.
We got off at Hizenhama Station (Kashima City, Saga Prefecture) on the Nagasaki Main Line.
If Kyushu becomes an independent state, Kashima City in Saga Prefecture will be a strong candidate for the sake capital 😁.
We only had less than 2 hours to spend in the city, so we first wandered around the station area.
The sake brewery street near the station is literally dotted with sake breweries.
We also took a peek at Tomikuchiyo Sake Brewery, famous for its Nabeshima sake.
But it's not popular on a Sunday afternoon 😅...
Is it always like this?
After 30-40 minutes, we returned to the station and went to "Hama Bar", a sake bar attached to the station building.
I was told about this place by Rumion-san and Rika-san, and I was really looking forward to going there.
We challenged ourselves to a junmai ginjo drink comparison (800 yen) from 5 different sake breweries in Kashima👍!
We had Ariake seaweed and cream cheese 🧀 with our entrée 🤗.
The first glass
Kohime DEAR MY PRINCESS Junmai Ginjyo Genjyo
100% Yamadanishiki produced in Saga Prefecture
Fruity aroma of Japanese pear.
Smooth and smooth with sweetness and umami.
It also has a nice sharpness. ❗️
First time to drink Kouhime ❓It's been a long time ❓
Either way, it's delicious🤗
Good morning, Chichi Michiei 😃.
What a fun thing to do❗️.
I can't believe there's a sake bar attached to the station building.
It's the sake capital of Kyushu 🥰.
Good morning, Comrade Chichi ☀Good morning to you and your Japanese Sake bar 👍I love the way you drink sake with seaweed as a snack, just like in Saga Prefecture 😋.
Haruei Chichi, good morning ☀️.
The station is great 👍the seaweed is definitely delicious and it's very surprising that there are no people in ♡Fujikujiyo 😳‼️.
Hi 3KAN4ON😃.
It's really a nice place 👍.
However, after the Shinkansen starts operation, the number of conventional train services will be drastically reduced and it will be inconvenient 💦....
Hello Comrade Manachy 😃.
It was worth stopping by on the way 👍.
It's really a nice place ❗️
Drinking local sake with Japan's best seaweed as a side dish is quite something 🤗.
Hi Pon 😃.
It was a nice restaurant 👍.
The nori (seaweed) and the cream cheese 🧀 with sake lees were delicious!
This is a dangerous food that makes sake go down the drain 😁.
Rika, thanks for telling us about this great place💕.
It's a nice bar that I'd like to visit again and again👍
But after the Shinkansen starts operating, the number of conventional train lines will be drastically reduced and it will be inconvenient 💦....
Good evening, Haruei Chichi😄
Sake capital of Japan lol 🤣🤣🤣
I was thinking where would be the best place in Tohoku 🤔.
....it's pretty hard to find ( ˘-ω-˘ ;) )
Good evening, Haruei Chichi! 😄
Kyushu's sake capital! I like it 😆👍I go to Kashima for work often, but I can't drink because I have a car! 😭I would love to drink Kohime at the Hamabar 🤤.
Good morning, Haruei Chichi!
It's one of the best parts of traveling to get off the train and enjoy a drink 🍶(*´Yuki`*) And to have it attached to the station building! You can't go through without stopping by this one.
Good evening 😃
I'm jealous of your drinking comparison 😍
I haven't seen anything but Nabeshima here 😭
Sake capital of Japan 🤔.
If you're in Tohoku, I recommend Akita City in Akita Prefecture or Aizu Wakamatsu City in Fukushima Prefecture 🫡.
This sake is brewed with sake rice produced by a sake rice farmer we met at Asahiya, a sake shop we go to when we visit Saga. It is an easy-drinking sake like white wine. The illustration on the label seems to have been drawn by the sake rice farmer.
I also bought the sake from another sake brewer who also distributes sake rice to other breweries. I will post more when I drink it again!
