Rooster Yoemon from Kawamura Sake Brewery in Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture. This sake is famous for its sour taste, which is rare in Iwate Prefecture. I drank it for the first time at a store in Hanamaki and was surprised by the sourness. It seemed to be quite a challenge since Iwate is generally known for its sweet and tasty sake. Even so, I heard that the owner stubbornly continued to make sour sake. (^○^) Nowadays, with the Shinsai boom, Yoemon's sour sake is also selling well, especially outside of the prefecture. Sake I got at an off-line meeting It is Yoemon by Kawamura Sake Brewery! This is my first time drinking this so I'm looking forward to it..! It will be served in a snow-cold usuhari glass! There is almost no aroma... The taste is... dry but with a strong acidity! And yet the rice taste is amazing... this is delicious!
