Kinzoku's Honjozo, freshly squeezed new sake. Moderate aroma. It has a strong gaseous taste, which is typical of honjozo, but with a hint of fruity flavor. But there is a hint of fruity flavor. Wow, Kinugi has a rather modern style. I thought it was a solid, robust sake.
On the last day of a summer vacation for a forty-year-old man, he enjoys a leisurely evening drink while watching professional wrestling in the evening.
First, a bottle of Kinshin no Hiyoroshi. Fruity aroma like muscat and banana. Well, this is a gorgeous flavor like a heaping up of ripe fruits. And it has a burning alcohol taste. The taste is strong, but the mouthfeel is rather smooth. I would like to keep the standard sake for the Golden Wedding.
Tokyo sake!
But it was 800 yen.
I just shrugged it off.
Sweet and sour, a little bit of a schwarziness.
Delicious, I'm glad I bought it!
Alcohol 15%.
Rice polishing ratio 65
Production March 2025
Purchased at Kanda Myojin gift store along with a craft beer. Despite this being a bottle-cap bottling, actually superior to the beer. Love the package, too. But I can’t imagine ever repeat this.
Tokyo Metropolitan Area
Toshimaya's White Sake
Alcohol 7 degrees Celsius
This sake is said to have been drunk in the springtime during the Edo period (1603-1867).
In addition to rice and koji, mirin (sweet cooking rice wine) is added, making it very sweet.
It looks like amazake, but has a stronger sweetness.
It is a sake that makes one feel like spring.
Tokyo Metropolitan Government
Slightly sparkling Junmai Light Nigori Nama Sake
Rice polishing ratio 65
Alcohol 14%.
When the cork is opened, carbon dioxide gas shoots out.
It does not stop easily and is often enjoyed as an event.
The sweetness is mild and the carbonation is strong.
It also has a salty taste that you will never get tired of.
Sake from Kumegawa, Higashimurayama City. Sake is rare in this area. This is because the name of the area has rice in it. It is said to be dry, but the sweetness of the rice prevails. It has a smooth taste as if you are drinking water. It is reasonably priced and highly recommended.
I want another glass of hot sake. There was a junmai sake, so I asked the waiter to add this. This one is more refreshing than the previous one. It has a spicy aftertaste. It warmed me up nicely.
After the first week is over, I'm taking a breather. I went to my favorite restaurant for New Year's greetings. It was cold, so I got some hot sake. It was Tokyo's Kinshin. The sweetness slowly sinks in. A sigh of relief.
