ジャイヴDrinking at YOKOCHO in Kyoto in early spring (3)
After opening a bottle of "GANKI," we ordered a sake from the menu that we felt was overwhelmingly powerful.
Shinsei Ecru 2024.
[I was excitedly waiting to see what was going to be served at Shinsei (900 yen per 1 gou) and was surprised to find it was Ecru 😲, and it was also my first time drinking it.
I got a bottle to commemorate my last drink 🤣.
The aroma is slightly woody with a hint of wooden vat, the flavor flows smoothly through the mouth with a woody aroma, the acidity is sharp, and the aftertaste is clean and pleasant.
The meat is almost rare on the inside and seared on the outside.
It is one of the most delicious duck loin I have had in Kyoto.
The final dish was homemade mackerel sushi and red miso soup with shijimi clams, which I thought red miso was rare in Kyoto. Negi. I thought red miso was very rare in Kyoto, but I was impressed with the Kyoto-like flavor of nameko mushrooms, leeks, and sansho (Japanese pepper) 😋. ジャイヴDrinking at YOKOCHO in Kyoto in early spring
After we had finished "Marutake Ebisu", the next drink we were going to order was "Tadai", but it was out of stock, so we changed our order to this one and had a drink with it.
GANKI Junmai Ginjo
Fruity aroma like melon that stimulates the nostrils, melon-like sweetness on the palate, and a clean, crisp, sweet aftertaste.
Served with sashimi and teppai.
I was rereading the famous book "Drinking Alone in Kyoto" by Mr. Kazuhiko Ota after a long time, and I remembered the introduction of "Yokocho" and the conversation I had with Mr. Ao-chan a while ago, so I decided to make it my destination this time 🥰. マナチーGood evening, Jive🌇I had never heard of either Yokowa or Teppai before‼️I want to go back to visit the Kansai area because there are many things I don't know when I go to the west. ‼️ ジャイヴ[After leaving Yami, I went on a tour of liquor stores.
I found some drunken alcohol, so I stopped to go to "Kitano Tenmangu Shrine", which I had planned to do, and had afternoon tea at Kyoto station ☕.
Now that I've had my sugar fix, I'm off to the restaurant I've been waiting for this time 🚃.
We went to Yokocho, a little further up from Sanjo station, just in time for the 5am opening ✨.
We started off with beer and chilled tofu, and then shifted to drinks 🍶.
Marutake Ebisu Junmai Sake.
Aroma of fluffy rice, slightly heavy umami, and a bitter aftertaste.
The entrée is fried sweet potato 🍟. RecommendedContentsSectionView.title
