I received this sake on a business trip to Hokkaido, as it was recommended by the manager of an izakaya (Japanese style bar). I was told that Sapporo is the local sake brewery. It was an easy-drinking sake with a refreshing taste and the sweetness of rice!
Purchased at a liquor store in Aeon Mall Tsukuba.
It was a fresh, slightly carbonated, yet refreshingly dry and fruity sake.
Perfect for an after-dinner drink.
Wakatake Junmai Daiginjo
The last 20 bottles of this sake are said to be a phantom sake, as the rice variety is changing.
Paired with stewed shiitake mushrooms and hon wasabi, it was the most delicious. It had been a long time since I had had a sake that impressed me.
Sake served in ANA first class
Purchased as a souvenir from Gifu.
It is the most cost-effective sake at 1,000 yen, yet it is a solid sake. It was said to be dry, but it was close to medium, and it was just right to be served at room temperature or lukewarm.
This is a super-limited series!
