Purchased at "Roadside Station Oze Katashina" where I stopped by on my way back from Marunuma Kogen Ski Resort. Oze-no-shizuku Goyobukuro set.
It is a set of Oze-no-shizuku and fresh-stored Sake Saidaijin (300ml) in a miniature sized sachet.
Yes, I wanted to buy this mini sized sachet, so I bought it. ❗️
Sake brewers, please commercialize the mini sachets because they are in demand. 🙇🏻♂️
We purchased a bottle of "Honor Kunimitsu," a local sake with a history of over 110 years, at Kawaba Ski Resort in Gunma Prefecture.
The name "Honor Kunimitsu" means "May our country be honored and shine brightly.
The name "Honor Kunimitsu" is said to mean "May our country be honored and shine brightly.
The name "Honorable Kunimitsu" is said to mean "May our country shine with honor and splendor. 110 years ago, it was the early 1900s.
I will have a taste of it.
Purchased at the Ikarao Kogen Hotel, which is attached to the Ikarao Kogen Ski Resort.
Manufactured in December 2022.
There is no information on the brewer's website, so is it completely sold only to the hotel?
Is it produced in small quantities because it was more expensive than the same amount of Masumi?
In any case, it was delicious.
The snowboarding season has finally started!
The first start of the season was enjoyed at the Ikarao Kogen ski resort, where we stayed and enjoyed the local sake Mizuo Dry Sake from Iiyama City, Nagano Prefecture.
It was a great combination of local sake, hot springs, and Nagano's local cuisine.
Purchased as a souvenir at Shizuoka Station during a business trip to Shizuoka.
I was attracted by the illustration and bought it completely by the packet. It is Hakuin Masamune, a local sake from Numazu.
The illustration may be that of Hakuin Zenji, from whom the brand name is derived.
Marunuma Kogen Ski Resort in Katashina Village, Gunma Prefecture, is my personal favorite ski resort.
I have one complaint...they don't have sake in the store.... They have local beer, but not sake for some reason.
(Technically, they do have Gunma-chan one-cup sake.)
So, on the way home, I stopped by Otone Sake Brewery along Route 120 and purchased a bottle of locally brewed sake called "Left Oshin.
The building is old-fashioned and the atmosphere in the store is very nice. The staff kindly and politely explained to us their sake recommendations and how to enjoy drinking it. This is the kind of experience that makes sake taste even better.
I usually drink sake cold, but I'm going to try the lukewarm sake.
Purchased at a store at the foot of the mountain in the Mitsumata area of the Kagura ski resort in Niigata.
I was attracted by the illustration on the label.
I was curious to know more about the label, and found that there are some goods of Snowman, and that Snowman has been actively collaborating with Rossignol. I'll buy some next time I come across him.
I was also curious as to why Yukio was carrying his luggage on his back. It seems that he was modeled after a hairy "foreign beast" that appears in a novel associated with the sake brewery.
In the story, Yukio is given nigirimeshi by a traveler, and in return, he carries his luggage on his back to guide him along the way.
Along with a sticker with a little memory of the store where I bought the Snowman.
This is also an episode of my encounter with Yukio.
Purchased at Kawaba Ski Resort in Gunma Prefecture.
Kawaba Ski Resort has a well-stocked sales area. There was a sake corner and you could choose from a variety of sake.
First of all, I was happy just for that.
The Nagai Shuzo, a local brewery in Kawaba Village, had a wide selection of products, from which we chose the Gensui Ginjo. The sales floor was pushing a super-harsh junmai, but after much deliberation, I ended up choosing the one that looked the easiest to drink....
I found it in a small store at the Hotel SAKAEYA at the entrance of Iwahara Ski Resort.
The name gave me the vibe that it was a story, but when I looked it up, it turned out to be a local sake sold only in Niigata.
According to a certain introduction site, it is not sold on Rakuten or Amazon either. When you are told that, the taste and flavor of the sake increases, and that's just human nature.
For some reason, this was the only sake sold at the souvenir shop in the hotel in front of the Joetsu International Ski Resort. I thought it was a story, but I bought it.
When I looked it up carefully, I found out that it was a collaboration with a local confectionary maker Nanihaya in Nagaoka City.
So I went to the local supermarket and bought some persimmon seeds to enjoy with it.
