Marunuma Kogen Ski Resort in Katashina Village, Gunma Prefecture, is my personal favorite ski resort.
I have one complaint...they don't have sake in the store.... They have local beer, but not sake for some reason.
(Technically, they do have Gunma-chan one-cup sake.)
So, on the way home, I stopped by Otone Sake Brewery along Route 120 and purchased a bottle of locally brewed sake called "Left Oshin.
The building is old-fashioned and the atmosphere in the store is very nice. The staff kindly and politely explained to us their sake recommendations and how to enjoy drinking it. This is the kind of experience that makes sake taste even better.
I usually drink sake cold, but I'm going to try the lukewarm sake.
