Souvenirs from a trip to Nagasaki (2)
Sake purchased at Amu Plaza in Nagasaki
I was attracted by the limited sake shop... limited is not a fair word 😆.
The taste is classic but rich 🥰.
The taste is classic but rich 🥰 The sourness, sweetness, umami, and spiciness rush into your mouth 😆.
When I warmed it up, the sweetness settled down and I felt the spiciness and bitterness.
I prefer it cold to warm 🥰.
When warmed up, it changed into a refreshing and easy to drink sake 😳.
It is clear and colorless, with aromas of cypress, jyoshinko, honeysuckle, and pear. The attack is rather weak, with mild acidity and mild sweetness, and a rather long finish.
The label is a cat with a crooked tail that hooks you up with happiness. The story is wonderful. The taste is very juicy. There is no alcohol at all, and the ester is clean and pleasant on the nose.
I went to the Kinegawa brewery opening!
I tasted a lot of sake, but the new sake Shiboritate Nama-nihonshu was the best! I bought it!
It had a smooth, refreshing and fruity taste with no astringent aftertaste! It was easy to drink even without any snacks!
I was also impressed by the Junmai Sake Assemblage and Daiginjo Shizuku Shibori!
I guess it tastes even better when you hear about it first hand at a brewery open house 😆.
At Sushi Wakatakemaru, located in Amu Plaza Nagasaki near JR Nagasaki Station. The rice tasted refreshing and went well with the delicious grilled mackerel and Nagasaki's fresh fish sushi.
Purchased on a trip to Shimabara. It may be sold only in Nagasaki Prefecture. It is a junmai-shu, which seems to be a junmai-shu. It has a full-bodied rice flavor with a sweet and spicy aftertaste. I felt it lacked individuality, but it was a cosy sake. (It was about 1,200 yen).
