I was talking with Bouken about a brewery that I had never heard of, and Kazuho said that he had never heard of Matsuo. Kazuho said he had never seen it outside of Kochi Prefecture.
Matsuo Tosa Rei 100% Junmai Sake
Tosa Rei is a rather new rice suitable for sake brewing in Kochi Prefecture.
The aroma is mild, with a slight acidity at the beginning that disappears after the taste.
Matsuo originally has an old-fashioned Junmai sake atmosphere, but the use of Tosa Rei makes it a gentle and catchy sake that is easy to drink while retaining its atmosphere. The brewing water is deep seawater, which is interesting and easy to recommend.
I also had a taste of the sake.
He said that the usual Matsuo has a more matured taste, but this is easy to recommend as an entry point to Matsuo, and on the other hand, traditional fans may be surprised to know that such a pattern is also available.
The brewers of Matsuo and Kameizumi seem to be the biggest sake drinkers in Kochi🤣. ひるぺこGood evening, Nemuchi-san. I just drank some Shouou at a Kochi cuisine restaurant, but my impression was that it was clear and dry. And it's a luxury to taste Kochi sake while having Ippo-san explain it to you 😊. ねむちHi Hirupeko, good morning 😃I'm impressed that you have had Matsuo 😆I didn't even know the name...I guess Kamisen would have tasted like Matsuo 😁This time I caught Ippo and had a luxurious Kochi sake tasting 👍. boukenKochi Food Trip - Full Kochi Trip ④
Totally new to Matsuo
According to Mr. Ippo, Matsuo is a classic sake with an aged aroma.
This one uses Tosa Rei, deep sea water and deep sea yeast.
It is refreshing and easy to drink. It is also a bit floral.
People who usually drink Matsuo are surprised at the taste.
Ippo-san said "I'm going to try it too" and drank it. He said "I'm going to try it too" and drank it 😁. FジータThe rice has a great flavor. And sweet. たけさんIn a good sense, it is not like Kochi, the sharpness is gentle, but the broth is good, a bit gentler than Kaygetsu.
It goes well with all kinds of food! I want to buy some to take home! ほちまるI think it was because it was cheap and the smell was not so great 😔
But you can drink it clear! ギョーザI don't like nama-shu or muddy sake, but once in a while.
It is a good sake, not too sweet. 悠Junmai-shu brewed with Tosa-ura, a new sake rice from Kochi.
It is quite smooth and dry. 里浦スターズ63Kochi Leaf Peony

Evening drink at home.
I've been paying attention to a personal favorite recently.
Opened a bottle of Matsuo's Junmai Shu Autumn Sake. It has a mild aroma with a hint of cucumber.
The mild aroma of cucumber and the acidity is very effective.
