A gift from my brother at home the other day.
It was chilly, so I paired it with pork shabu-shabu.
It was a little high at 17%, so I tasted it slowly at first and then served it on the rocks in the latter half of the bottle.
I enjoyed the mildness of the wine.

Tanaka Shuzo is a brewery in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture.
Gohyakumangoku" rice produced in Niigata Prefecture is polished to 55%.
It has a gentle and elegant aroma with a good sense of maturity,
rounded rice flavor, and a full-bodied, clean finish.
A beautiful aftertaste.

The Tanaka Sake Brewery has a 380-year history and is located along the sea and mountains, close to Kenshin Uesugi's Kasuga Mountain and the Naoetsu Bathing Beach.
The name of the brewery is said to have originated from the initials of the store name "Notoya" (when sake was transported to Ishikawa Prefecture by ship) and the owner's motto from 1943, "A hawk with a hawk hides its talons.
While many bottles have a cool silhouette of a hawk on them, this bottle is an old-fashioned design honjozo.
The aroma is astringent and grain-like.
