It has been a while since I went to eat Sara-soba!
Soba on 5 small flat plates with wasabi, leek, yam, and egg as condiments to change the taste♪
It was cold and I wanted to drink heated sake!
We were told that there was only one type of heated sake, so we decided without hesitation!
The sake was heated in a tokkuri (sake bottle) with an Otsu-e painting on it and an inokuchi (sake cup).
When drunk alone, the sake has a strong flavor of rice, but when paired with dishes with strong flavors and fat, such as soba noodles, duck roast, and mackerel sushi, it goes very well with them!
I was happy to drink a little from noon. ❣️

Takeuchi Sake Brewery / "TADAI" "KOU NO IZUMI" Shiga Prefecture
Kanoizumi" is a regular brand that has been produced since the company's establishment.
Tadai" is a brand launched for the national market.
Meizu" is a brand that is distributed to a very small number of local sake specialty stores.
Mr. Naoto Nakamura, the toji, trained for 6 years under Mr. Naohiko Noguchi, who is considered a legendary Noto toji. He always matures his hi-ire sake for at least one year.
Kami-Sen Kounosen O-Mon
A mildly sweet and tasty sake.
It has a mild sweetness and umami taste.
Not so impressive...
I liked the fact that this time it was "Kano-sen" instead of "Yui", but I don't remember it because it was the last one 💦 Come to think of it, Takeuchi Sake Brewery was the last one at the Japanese Sake Festival, and I don't remember much about it 😅.
That's the end of the Shiga Sake Festival 🙏.
But since it's Sake Day, we'll continue with the second half of the Sake Go Around Kyoto 🤣.
