I opened a bottle of sake recommended by the owner of a familiar restaurant. The sake had a fruity aroma and the richness of Watanobune was strongly expressed, but it was not heavy, and it was refreshing with a tangy spiciness.

I ordered this sake at a corner shop of Nadya Sake Shop in Koiwa, recommended as a sake to go with sashimi (I have bought other products of this sake brewery at other local sake shops after being recommended several times as a food sake). The aroma was subtle, with a light sweetness on the palate, followed by a spiciness, but it felt clean and easy to drink 😌.

Comparison of drinks across the days. Yesterday we drank at a corner bar of a liquor store in Koiwa, Tokyo, and today we drank at a bar in Koenji that buys sake from this liquor store. Both sakes had the same mouthfeel, but there was a difference in the aftertaste: the former was Miyamanishiki and had a light dryness and sharpness, while the latter was Yamada-Nishiki and was clean with no clutter 😌.

It has been a long time since I have tasted Eiko-Fuji.
I expected it to be sweet, but it is not too sweet.
It has a lactic acid aroma.
It was good, but I might like it better without lactic acidity.
I like the cute label.

I thought the first sip was not so good because of the alcohol taste at the end.
After the second sip, I didn't mind so much.
It was good, but I prefer a more aromatic flavor.

I thought it tasted a little bitter.

I hesitated to buy it because of the austere label, but they recommended it to me, so I bought it.
It doesn't have a gorgeous aroma, but it is sweet and has a hint of alcohol.
I can feel the alcohol.
I prefer a better aroma.
