I went to Nagasaki Prefecture, so I had never had it before.
I had never had a cup of this Honjozo sake before.
The brewery is located in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture.
It is served at room temperature.
It is sweet but surprisingly refreshing and easy to drink.
It has umami, sweetness, and mild acidity.
We don't feel the stickiness characteristic of sweet sake at all.
It seems to go well with any meal.
Delicious 😋.
Wish I could go visit the brewery!
Thanks for the treat✨

A cat label that is typical of Nagasaki
A cat that seems to appear out of nowhere when strolling through the streets of Nagasaki. It will surely bring you happiness. !!!!
Our president's love of cats has led us to commercialize Nagasaki's first cat-labeled sake.
It is said that Nagasaki Prefecture has a particularly large number of tail-curled cats in Japan.
The cat on the label, "KINOYAN," is a cat with a crooked tail that is said to bring happiness.
The sake is a junmai ginjo-shu made from 100% Yamadanishiki and characterized by its tropical aroma and juicy taste.
Please enjoy it with fish.
Please enjoy it cooled sharply.
I got this on a trip to Nagasaki last year. I will have it while thinking back to the delicious Turkish rice and Sara Udon noodles 🤤.
When you open the bottle and pour it, the aroma is sweet and fluffy, like pudding or custard. The aroma is gentle and soothing.
The mouthfeel is smooth and silky, but as the aroma suggests, it has a pudding-like flavor and a moist sweetness that fills the mouth 🍮.
On the other hand, it also has a slightly tangy and pungent acidity that gives it a lightness, so it has a good balance of depth of flavor and a sharpness that goes down your throat👍.
In the latter half of the bottle, the astringent taste also comes out, so the flavor can be felt as caramelized.
There are also the standard "Yokoyama Goju" and "Rokujyosu", and I remember that I had a lot of trouble finding a variety at the Nagasaki airport. I also drank Nagasaki sake several times, and it seems to me that the level of sake is as high as that of shochu 😌.
