We drank as we reminisced about our trip to Kyushu last month.
It was hot on Gunkanjima, but I was lucky to be able to land there.
I would like to visit there again.
Kyushu Travel Souvenir Sake
I am back home. It was a very happy trip.
On our last day, we went to Gunkanjima.
We were able to land there, despite the probability that we had only landed there for 5 days out of the recent 125 days! Congratulations~!
I was deeply moved when I thought about how it could collapse at any time, how it will surely not look the same the next time I see it, and the severity of the coal mines. And I'm drinking the "Kine River Barrel Sake" I got as a souvenir for myself, thinking back on my fun trip. The scent of cedar relaxes me. The balance of sweetness and acidity is good! After returning home, I got some souvenirs from Kumamoto.
My trip to Kyushu ended without a hitch.
It was a trip of a lifetime for me to visit unfamiliar places, enjoy local delicacies, and savor delicious sake. I hope to go on more trips to enjoy delicious sake in the future.
Nanoha-san, good evening 🌙
I enjoyed reading about your trip to Kyushu😊I can't get enough of the local sake and food ❣️ I'm glad you were able to land on Gunkanjima! I'd like to go there before it collapses 🎵
Good evening, Pon-chan! I am glad you read my travelogue! Kyushu is not a place I get to visit very often, so I was really looking forward to it before I went! I enjoyed the food and sake very much. I hope you will visit Gunkanjima!
J&N, I'm back to reality, I'm back (*ˊˋ*) I've almost followed the itinerary lol! Sake and travel are really wonderful, aren't they?
The next thing I'm looking forward to is tomorrow's meeting of the prefectural residents! Thank you very much for your time!
Good morning, Nanoha! ☀️
That was a wonderful and memorable trip to Kyushu ❣️😊
It's rare to go to Kyushu, I'm glad you had a great time 😊I used to focus on sightseeing when I was younger, now I want to go on a trip to discover sake ✨🤗.
Good morning, Tsubu!
I really wanted to visit Kyushu lol. There are so many places in Japan that I don't know about, and now that I'm here, I'm intoxicated by the chic of it all - Japan and sake are the best!
The fourth trip to Kyushu!
Today, we went to Peace Park to pray for the end of war in all countries. After that, we went to Glover Garden, where we walked up a huge hill, exhausted but healed by the beautiful scenery and the occasional breeze. Don't forget to drink Kirin Beer! After stopping at the Oura Tenshudo, we checked in!
We walked to Nagasaki Chinatown because it is close by, but many of the restaurants were closed for lunch (; °ㅅㅅ°).
I wandered around after having a Kakuni Manju Man and then I found Champon! Delicious - the seafood flavor is very strong.
I'm glad I got to try it.
And then, Dejima. At a restaurant on Dejima Wharf, I had squid sashimi and sake! This glass! LOL! Dynamic lol!
But the squid from the fish tank, sold by weight, goes great with the sake! After a few drinks, I'm going to take the ropeway to Inasa-yama to see the night view!
And the illuminated Megane-bashi bridge. I'm greedy today!
Nanoha-san, good evening 🌙
I see you are enjoying your trip to Kyushu 😆🎶.
It reminds me of the trip I took to Saga and Nagasaki when I was younger 😊.
Peace Park, Glover Garden, Oura Tenshudo ... and Holland Village ‼️🤣I miss them all 🤗.
Hi Nanoha 😃
We are jealous of you because we had to abandon Nagasaki due to the typhoon 🌀😊The live squid looks delicious 😋 We also ordered it but we were disappointed with the dead squid makeup that came out 😆 To be continued at the prefectural meeting 👋
A souvenir from a business trip to Nagasaki. It is served cold.
It has a faintly sweet aroma.
It is a ginjo, so I thought it would be fruity, but the taste is surprisingly close to orthodox. It is good as a food sake!
There are many kinds of ginjos.
The taste is truly of the highest quality. The sweet aroma that swells up in the mouth is indeed a Junmai Daiginjo. You can feel the passion of the brewer for this bottle.
I bought a bottle at a pharmacy in Nagasaki to take home and it is delicious 😋.
Almost nothing, but it has an elegant sweet aroma of rice 🌾.
It's a refreshing sake 🍶.
It's not too strong and tastes like rice. It's not too strong and has a nice, clean rice taste 😋.
If this one goes for around 800 yen, I'll make it my regular sake 🤭.
I bought this sake as a souvenir.
This is my first time to drink sake from Kyushu.
The aroma is fruity and has a nice smell. The taste is not too fruity! It was the kind of sake that makes you understand what it means to be clear.
I drank it with pizza today, but I heard it goes well with fish.
I wanted to drink it with caprese.
This sake is made from 100% rice grown in Omura, Nagasaki. I bought this on my way back from a trip to Nagasaki ✈️. It has a light sweetness of rice and a clear throat. I thought the refreshing taste would go well with any food. Tonight's entrée was sardine cod roe that I bought in Nagasaki. We enjoyed the same regional snacks and sake, but all from the same area.
The flying sensation on the palate comes from the alky liquor.
Banana and oaky smell, individually.
Oakiness on its own is there if you look for it.
The aftertaste is gradual.
I drank it at room temperature.
I think this might be the best barrel sake I've ever tasted.
