At a liquor store in front of Echigo-Yuzawa Station, I mentioned that I liked fruity sake.
My first impression upon drinking it was "smoked?" A slightly different first impression.
I imagined it to be a bit lighter, but it was much sweeter and mellow.

Home brew. I tried this one tonight because it was fruity, reasonably priced, and I was curious. Well, it's not bad, but the sweetness is too noticeable and I might get bored easily. It would be better if it had some acidity or fizziness.

The aroma is very rich and the taste is unique.
The mouthfeel is firm, but the aftertaste is refreshing, so it goes down very well.

A recommendation from the lady at the Nishinakajima liquor store I casually walked into!
This is a daiginjo, but it costs about 1,600 yen.
I had never heard of this brand, so I opened the bottle without any expectations.
It has a fruity taste with a hint of acidity.
You can feel the acidity all the way through, but in the latter half of the bottle, a slight cloudiness enhances the umami, which is just the way I like it.
It reminds me of grapefruit.
This is delicious.
