I have a very special sake I brought back from Shiga 🤔. But I held back a little and opened this bottle 🍾 which had been left unopened since last year. I guess it's an autumn sake, given the theme of "moonlight" 🍂. Sake no Iwase has a wide variety of Koei chrysanthemums, with a variety of BYs. I bought an old one to try. It's been almost 3 years since I bought it, but I'm not sure how it tastes. ⁉️ Well, how does it taste? Yes, it's good. It has an obvious Koueikiku-like sourness and sweetness, and the aroma is obvious. I'm impressed that I can still drink it after 3 years 🥺I don't know what the original taste is, but it is generally round. But it seems thick and nice. The chiliiness is still there...I think. I can't see the beautiful Mt. Fuji these days and can't take pictures 🫤.

Good evening, ellie 😃 I'm curious to know what Shiga's specials are 🤔 but I'm also curious about the Koei chrysanthemums that have been laid up for 3 years 😆.

Good evening Jay & Nobby🌇. I've only had the twilight orange, but this one is mellow 😋 The acidity seems to be intact. Not that Shiga sake is expensive, but it's something you can never get in Shizuoka: ❗️

Congratulations on your 🎊100☆🎉! It's not easy to open a bottle of sake that you've kept for a long time. A sake lover I know said that about 3 years is the perfect amount of time to lay it down: ☺️

Good evening Erin 🌆. Thank you 😊I enjoy going out by car, so I buy sake on the way out and hoard it 💧. Letting it sit for 3 years...it surely gives depth to the Koei chrysanthemum and it's delicious ❗️

I had some business in Gotemba, so I stopped by Iwase Sake for the first time 🚗I knew they had Koei Kiku, which is very rare in Shizuoka 🧐. When I came face to face with the showcase, it was amazing! One case was filled with Koei Kiku 😲 I should have taken a picture! There are even those labeled BY the year before last. After much deliberation, I chose two of the ones that claimed to be sour. The store also had Kitajima, Morishima, and Yuzumi. I will definitely buy some next time. I left the Echino Kanbai behind and opened one of the bottles. It tastes like orange 😋 At first the candy-like sweetness turns to orange for a moment, then a refreshing sourness. This is not sake 💦. I've experienced many different acids and I think this is the most refreshing? It's delicious 😋. The side dish is grilled beef hormone from Matsuno butcher store. I've been addicted to it lately.

Good morning, ellie! I have been a customer of Iwase-san when I lived close by. I have also been ordering Koei Chrysanthemum since the time of Kikutaka, and I am still ordering from them. I hope you will continue to patronize me 😊.

I visited "Sake-no-Iwase" to get a red label of "Beau Michelle" while I was in Gotemba on business, but they were sold out of only the red label.... They had brown, blue, cotton candy, and orange kijoshu, but only the red label was sold out. Too bad... So I bought "Kido Junmai Daiginjo" and "Koei Kiku Snokure Shinshu" for work, and bought the blue "Snow fantasy in Summer" for personal use💛. Yes, the fact that they sell summer sake even at this time of year is a feature of Sake no Iwase 🎶The proprietress also recommended the Aizan version of Koeigiku, but I'll save it for next time ⋆⸜🧡⋆⋆. Snow fantasy in Summer" is a low-alcohol sake with a refreshing pear-like fruity taste 💛It has a low sweetness, a strong acidity and a fizzy taste, so it's like a summer sake, but it's still great during this season💛. I had a lot going on last night and was in the mood for a drink to blow off steam, so I emptied it right away....

Jacket purchase (^_^;) Sourness I'm not a fan of sourness, so I found it hard to drink at first sip, but as I went on drinking it, I found it delicious! I noticed it was gone😅.

Today, I bought "Koei Kiku Harujion" along with "Koei Kiku Dusk Orange" that I drank at yesterday's off-line meeting 🧡. I bought it at "Sake no Iwase" in Gotemba 🎶The manager said that it is an unprecedented Kouei Kiku with a balance of fresh acidity and sweetness that reminds one of white wine. Now, what do people say about it on the Internet? A quick Google search reveals that "Harusion" is a new release brewed with low glutelin rice, Shunyo. When you open the bottle, you will notice a fresh citrus aroma, sweet and sour on the palate, and a lingering sweetness and bitterness like squeezed sudachi (a type of citrus fruit). When you open the bottle...is it biased or does it have a fresh muscat aroma like a white wine? Aroma 🧡. The taste is also fresh, moderate sweetness and firm acidity 🧡It is definitely a white wine type 🧡 The sweetness is also exquisite 🎶 The bitterness is exactly at the level of white wine and has no unpleasant strength at all. This is easy to drink 🧡. I think it is best to drink it in a wine glass 🎶 the muscat aroma tickles your nose every time you bring it to your mouth 🧡. The chicken and daikon radish stew I made yesterday 🎶 is a perfect match.

Online drinking session today 🎶. I had a hard time deciding which sake to open, but I decided to go with "Koei Kiku Twilight Orange" that I bought yesterday in Gotemba. I bought "Kouei Kiku Twilight Orange" and "Harusion" at "Sake no Iwase" in Gotemba! I talked with the manager and got a lot of information 🎶. I had a hard time deciding which one to open, but I decided to open a bottle of "Dusk Orange". The bitterness is definitely there, but the acidity and sweetness certainly remind me of citrus fruits. According to the manager, last year's "Dusk Orange" had a very strong yogurt taste, but this year's is quite conscious of the balance between sourness and sweetness. I heard that he is talking directly with the sake brewery, so this is valuable information. I look forward to getting to know them better in the future 🎶. I will enjoy it until the end 🧡.

I bought some horse sashimi in Gotemba and a bottle of Shizuoka sake to go with it. Spring season limited edition I have a weakness for limited editions😅. I was also attracted by the cherry blossom label, so I bought it. I found it to have a clean, light taste. It might have been more suitable for lighter dishes.

I brought this one in for work and drank it too (laughs). I drank it after drinking the Tenpui Junmai Ginjo, but this one was sweeter. It was a little different from the clear sweetness of Tenpui, and had a unique flavorful sweetness. It's a sweetness that's better to drink on its own, rather than as an alcoholic beverage. It's not overly sweet by any means, but it doesn't have the same sourness as Anastasia Green. Yes, I can't feel the sourness. Personally, I'd prefer a little more sourness. Would love to try that one next time! Alcohol content] 12 Price】1925 yen/720ml

This is the Anastasia Green, which is quite late from everyone. When I open the bottle, I can feel a light outgassing sensation♪♪ The aroma is a yogurt type to me, but I don't see anything like that in your comments. I'm not sure if it's a grapefruit or a citrus, but it's definitely a refreshing sweet and easy to drink. Alcohol content 13 Price 1815 yen
