Sake Brewery in Tojo, Shobara City
New brands handled by Icoma Sake Brewery
Teishakukyo Gorge is located in the vicinity of Tojo, and on the second day of an elementary school excursion, we stayed at Teishakukyo Gorge.
We couldn't go to Teishakyo Gorge because of bad weather😅.
After a little while in the fridge, it has a pineapple-like flavor and fullness. A little pungent in the second half. It is a very beautiful sake with no unpleasant taste. Looks like it should be served warmed, but it's totally delicious cold or chilled.
I can also taste nuances like orange peel.
It may seem spicy when it is fresh out of the refrigerator.
Also, it may seem spicy when drunk on its own.
Dry food sake brewed at a small 200-year-old brewery in Shobara, northern part of the prefecture 🍶.
It has a mild, light aroma, a full-bodied flavor and a crisp dryness when you drink it, a good thirst-quenching taste, and a clean aftertaste that doesn't interfere with food 😁.
It's a great cosmetic sake, but I like this one a lot 😋.
Next, the Aigamo farming method of Kikumonmei 🦆.
The character of Fujimoto Farm called Aigamo-mon is cute😻
It doesn't say it, but it's unfiltered.
It was quite sweet and tasty, and I liked it a lot!
They seem to want to make a modern sake, and I look forward to their future!
Currently it seems to be almost exclusively fire-aged, so I'm looking forward to seeing the nama-sake as well 😊.
Hi bouken 😃
Aigamon is so kawaii 😍I'll buy the goods when they come out 🥰.
I've never heard of this brand before, but if they are going for modern, we can expect more in the future 😁.
Hi Hiro 😃
I would buy a stuffed animal or keychain if there was one 😍.
I don't think there are many stores in Hiroshima that carry them, but in Tokyo, Kamoshita Sake Shop seems to carry them 😁.
After KITTE, we went to Ikoma Sake Shop.
We had a chance to drink some of the sake that we had acquired during our Hiroshima expedition!
My first Kiku-Bunmei!
The first bottle was a freshly squeezed sake!
The first half of the bottle was quite sweet, but the second half was very spicy!
However, there are no off-flavors, which is common in country sake, and it is a good sake that seems to be brewed with care.
There is not much of an upfront aroma. When you sip it, you will feel a slightly hard mouthfeel, which is rare for Hiroshima sake, with the umami of rice and a hint of elegant sweetness like caster sugar, and the crisp aftertaste will impress you with its dry taste.
It is very clear for a junmai sake. It does not push the trendy sweetness, acidity, or gassiness to the forefront, nor does it have the cloying taste or strong alcohol taste that is often present in junmai sake.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I bought this at a local liquor store that I patronize.
I often see Chogun, which is also a Shobara sake, but this was my first encounter with it.

This sake is from Kitamura Brewery Ltd. located in Tojo-machi, Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
I drank it for the first time last year and really enjoyed it, so I requested it as a touring souvenir for my husband.
According to the staff at the roadside station, the Kikubunmei hiyaoroshi that comes out every fall is given a different name each time!
This year, it is "Autumn Ichiban.
Anyway, the smell is good💕
Pears, pears, pears🍐.
Not too sweet and sharp!
We had our first oyster in a clay pot and it had a nice bitter taste when combined with chrysanthemum civilization 😊.
Delicious 😋.

When the bottle is opened, the fruity aroma is
Hmm.
Is this a good one?
Although it has a weak spiciness, it has a strong umami flavor and can be drunk quickly and easily.
However, I'm not sure how it matches with the food on the first day.
It is a delicious sake even when drunk on its own.
Of course, it is also delicious as a food sake.
I bought it on a touring trip, so I could only buy 300 ml.
I bought a seat back so I can buy a #4 bottle next time.
This time it was a 300 ml bottle, so I have two beers.
I bought this beer at a convenience store.
I bought it at a convenience store.
It was a black beer, mildly dry and easy to drink.
And a local beer, Osorahan Beer, which we drank on Christmas Eve.
I have had this beer before, but this time the yogurt flavor was a little less pronounced.
Is the taste a little uneven or does it change depending on my physical condition?
I think it was the latter.
But still...
It was a good beer again.
