I was curious to order it because I heard it had a unique rich and delicious flavor, but it tasted very interesting. As the name suggests, it tastes like cedar. Some people might be offended if I say it tastes like drinking wood, but I mean it in a good way. It's like the wonderful aroma of cedar made into sake. Interesting!

The cedar aroma is beautiful, but not too assertive. After the aroma, you can taste the flavor of rice, and it does not interfere with the meal. I found a great barrel sake.

This is one of the bottles in the "Nara Sake Drinking Comparison Set" that I won at a sake event. This sake has the aroma of cedar barrels and a lingering flavor. I felt it tasted better lukewarm than at room temperature.

I bought this limited edition at Choryu Shuzo's brewery opening. I've had some of their regular Yoshinosugi barrel sake, and they all have a strong barrel flavor. This time, it was a junmai-shu, so I could feel the original fullness of the rice and it was delicious.

The cedar flavor is very prominent and gives the sake richness and umami. Balanced sweetness. A nice sake to drink on its own due to the complexity of its flavors.
