I didn't know there was a sake brewery in Iwaki city😇And some delicious shiso maki (shiso rolls) ‼️
Shiso rolls are usually wrapped in miso, but this one is wrapped in takuan (pickled radish).
The aroma is a typical one-cup one.
The aroma of the bottle is a bit tangy 🫙.
When you drink it, the stimulation to the throat is tsuyomi.
The mouthfeel is not sticky and easy to drink though,
The sweetness is heavy on the back of the tongue.
The alcohol taste, bitterness, and a mysterious stimulation hits the throat as if to drown it out.
I don't know how much it costs, but I think it is good for one cup!
This shiso maki is so good 🤤.
When you combine this with one cup of shiso maki, the stimulation to the throat is lessened and the sweetness is emphasized. The spiciness of the shiso roll neutralizes the sweetness.
This is a pairing full of the feeling of a popular izakaya (Japanese-style pub) 🤣.
