After being intrigued with Kikunoi's Honjozo, Kuroishi sake, which was served at the inn where I stayed for my Tsugaru Peninsula drive and Iwakisan Shrine visit, I had some time before returning the car in Hirosaki, so I visited the rice field art at the end of the day and Kuroishi.
When I found out that Narumi Sake Brewery was located on Komachi Street, I couldn't help but go in and try the sake, which is only sold at the store? It was a limited edition, so I bought it.
I bought it.
The alcohol content is 17.5 degrees and the rice polishing ratio is 50%, and it calls itself Junmai Daiginjo, so I thought they are not too particular about it.
It is delicious, with an elegant mellowness that you can feel the high alcohol content, yet it has a straightforward and clean taste!
We were recommended to drink it chilled, but we couldn't because of our location, so it was at room temperature, which may have accentuated the mellowness. I would like to try it cold!
Kikunoi is a sake that has been produced by Inamuraya's Narumi Brewery for a long time 🍶.
The aroma is slightly sweet on the nose.
When you take a sip, it is refreshing without any cloying taste.
It has a mild umami flavor.
It has the sharpness of alsobe, but it tastes a little thin 🤔.

I went to the brewery and bought one of the products. The building was historical and the garden was beautiful. It is fun to visit a place where a historic brewery has opened a direct sales shop.
It is clean and dry, but also has an elegant flavor.
The name "Kikunoi" suggests a Japanese restaurant or ryotei (traditional Japanese restaurant)😅.
It's a sake like that 👍.
Surprisingly mild on the palate
It has a slight sweetness.
But the taste is carried lightly
so you can drink it smoothly.
A bottle of this sake is a must for every family.

2nd cup of brewery tasting 😆 Rather yellow 😳, tastes like it's meant to be heated. Mellow and gradually delicious. I think it's probably not at its full potential in a cold tasting.

We visited the brewer of Kuroishi Yakisoba Sake and had a tasting 😅First, Special Junmai 🍶 Light and dry. More full-bodied than the yakisoba sake ✨.
Chose this one as a souvenir. Later we drank it at home. It is light and refreshing to drink. A little lactic acidity on the palate. Rather dry. Warmed up to 60 degrees, it is gentle and sweet. Sweetness. Pleasant acidity. Definitely warmed. Goes well with sliced salmon - different from kipper.
