Peachy fruit aroma with a burnt bitterness and a dry finish. It is truly a maiden's tear. When combined with food, it has a gentle sweetness.

#Grandfather's Drink The jacket and name of this sake might lead one to expect it to be spicy and lacking in flavor, but that is exactly what Shizuoka sake is like. It has just the right amount of umami, the aroma doesn't interfere with the food, and the aftertaste is just the right amount of spiciness for a great balance. The jacket makes it look like a cheap shot, but it's not.

Today we are going out for a drink. This izakaya is a rare izakaya where you can eat a lot of vegetables 😁The sashimi is also reasonably priced with sea bream and swordfish. They sell vegetables, so they have a large selection of vegetable-based soft drinks. They mainly have local Shizuoka sake, but they also have a lot of Omuraya sake from the famous Omuraya brewery, which is famous for Wakatake and Onna no Nyokase 🧐 This is the first time I've had anything from this brewery. Today's sake was Oni Otome. I was in the mood for a sweet sake. The flavor was full and spreading. It is delicious 😋. We had it with sashimi, tempura, and meat rolls!

Fourth drink of the day (first two were plum wine and sake liqueur; sake from the third) at Tora Vigilante in Shibuya, November 2017. The brewery is Omuraya Sake Brewery in Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The brewery is Omuraya Sake Brewery in Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and has been in business for 180 years. Wakatake" is the brewery's traditional brand. It is made from 100% "Honorifuji," Shizuoka Prefecture's sake brewing rice. The eye-catching label illustration is by Sonobe Namiko, who specializes in female characters. In addition to "Sachi", the "Oni Otome" seasonal series of "Wakatake" also includes "Yume", "Koi", and "Tears", all illustrated by the same artist, Sonobe Namiko (who does not seem to be from Shizuoka Prefecture). https://oniotome.wixsite.com/wakatake/oniotome
