We enjoyed the sake that we had purchased as a souvenir a long time ago as an accompaniment to sushi. It went well with the sushi, but it also went very well with gari (pickled ginger), which made the sake go down very well.
I bought the sake recommended to me on a business trip to Sendai as a souvenir to take home. My wife and I had it for dinner on our day off. It was as delicious as advertised, and although we started drinking it after dinner, we were able to drink more and more without any particular accompaniments.
It was easy to drink and had a strong flavor. I bought it with a set of KOIKEYA's special potato chips, and it went well with sashimi and sushi.
It is made from 100% rice called Ginpu, which I had never heard of before, but I learned the name well.
I bought it on impulse when I was on the road, and I am so glad I did. It has a rich flavor and was perfect for the pork shabu nabe. It was really delicious and was a big hit with my family who gathered for New Year's.
It is quite solidly carbonated and has a light yogurt taste. It was not too sweet and fruity, and together with its special taste, it was a perfect way to start the first supper of the New Year.
