Purchased at Takashimaya's Sake Festival (****) The International Wine Challenge 2024 seal is different from last year It still has the distinct flavor and ripeness of the original sake. The taste is more dense than last year's! Maybe it's just my imagination. I wanted to buy a set of three small bottles as an objet d'art, but I bought this one. Maybe it's personal, but it's my favorite! I also bought a cup of Hokusetsu. I'll see you next time!

Another nihomshu that needs time to breathe. When first open, mainly tasted the sharp alcohol, but after a few days, it mellows to a taste of rice, melon, sharpness with a slight bitter finish. Very drinkable cold. The taste mellows over time and 2 weeks later is still good with less alcohol hit.

Some standard Daiginjo that I would expect. Fruity smell, sweet in palate, melon and pineapple. Though I would like to have more complexity.

This year, I had some business in the Kanto area, and when I decided to go somewhere else, I chose Saitama because of Nihonbashi (´・ω・`). The long-sought-after kabob I got there was fully equipped with sugar and acidifiers! Full of normal cup character, cheapness of heating up (that's good) The light acidity is nice The flavor is a little firm. For a relaxing New Year's Eve, a homey cup like this is better than a heavy one! It's a problem that the New Year's Eve song and WBC are on the same day! Hachiro Kasuga, Saburo Kitajima, Ichiro, it's a busy day!

On a weekday off, I went to see "Sho de Saitama" 2 at a movie theater in Saitama-shintoshin. It was as good as or better than the first one. I was entertained by the seriousness and grandeur of the film 👍. The theme song "New Blooming Saitama" by Ms. Hanawa was a good song and image, and I was moved by it. The 12th brewery at the 6th Takashimaya Sake Festival Yokota Sake Brewery [Nihonbashi] [Ukishiro], Saitama Prefecture / Gyoda City This brewery has won the Gold Medal in the National New Sake Competition 22 times (the most in Saitama Prefecture). We met up with bouken-san here, and since we could get a pair of boar cups by following him on Instagram, the four of us followed him and the other guys. We were just sold out of boar cups 😁. Nihonbashi Nigori Sake It was creamy but I think the aftertaste was refreshing. Nihonbashi Junmai Sake, freshly squeezed raw sake. The taste is full and rich. Nihonbashi Junmai Daiginjo Nama Sake Fresh, fruity and delicious. Nihonbashi Dark Mellow Junmai Edo no Banquet It uses Edo yeast. The official name is "Saccharomyces yedo". It tastes like old sake, and when I asked if it was aged, they said it was not. I think they said they use rice. He gave me a boar cup, but I said hello to him while the other guy was buying and went on to the next without buying anything... 🙏.

Takashimaya Sake Festival ①. This is the first time in four years that the festival has been held, and this will be my first time attending. I visited once on Saturday afternoon, but got fed up with so many people that I left without buying or drinking anything. And I had a hair salon appointment coming up💦. It seems that Rutemi, Masha, and Hirupeko were somewhere in the venue at this time. I was wondering whether I should head back to the venue after finishing my business, when I heard that Nemuchi-san had arrived, so I decided to join the event. I found her at the Nihonbashi booth! We met up 😁. I tasted Junmai Daiginjo Hyoketsu Nama Sake Junmai freshly pressed sake Edo no Banquet The woman who served us was probably the toji (master brewer). I have tasted Junmai Daiginjo Nama Sake in the past, and it is still delicious. It is gorgeous and slightly sweet. I have tasted the freshly pressed sake at home in the past, but I liked it because it was easier to drink than the raw sake. Edo no Banquet is a sake made with Edo yeast. It tastes like it has been aged. The toji says that it is not aged. It is a heated sake type? I got a novelty gift, but sorry I didn't buy anything 🥺.

Koedo Kurari (小江戸蔵里)

The second sake tasting in Koedo Kurari is in Nihonbashi. This sake is from a brewery in Gyoda City, Saitama Prefecture. Shinsho-san recently reviewed a sake from this brewery, and we were curious about it. The types are different, but this is a standard honjozo First, at room temperature, a classic sake with acidity. Next, heated in a hot water bath. The flavor expands. This sake is loved by the locals in Gyoda City. This kind of classical sake, with its standard production, has a quality that is hard to find. The second and third images show "Music Cafe Amanda" where we had Kashmir curry for lunch. The restaurants and eateries around the "Toki no Kane" and "Kura-zukuri no Machi" area were crowded from 11:00 a.m. onwards 😅. Amanda is located a bit far away from the restaurant and is a true hideout. The pleasantly soft sound of analog records playing from the speakers, which I believe were made by the owner 😊. They don't have sake, but they do have beer and wine. The Kashmiri curry was also delicious 🍛.

First day of Takashimaya Sake Festival(*) Sake from Saitama Prefecture is not easy to see in Osaka! So I was curious and went there! Nihonbashi is the name of a place in the area where there is an electronics store district right there from Takashimaya The reading of the name is different, but I felt a connection. What a surprise, this is for me and I bought it immediately! And you can get a cup of sake by following their instagram! This is a five year old sake! It's a very dry sake, so the hit is strong, but the taste is relatively light. It also goes well with warmed sake, although it doesn't change drastically! I was originally hoping to get a bottle of Kenrishi Nada no Nama Nama, but they couldn't produce it in time, so I was disappointed, but this one saved the day! Also, Edo no Banquet was very clear and sweet with a strong acidity! The freshly pressed sake was a bit astringent and crisp! And Takebayashi from Okayama! Kamo Midori no Sake Brewery's own rice brand! Junmai is a good sake blended with a little bit of old sake, and it was quite good warmed up! Personally, I was tempted to buy the Kamo Midori Honjozo and the regular cup, but I didn't!
