Craft Sake Tomato, Kiwi, and Cola Comparison Hinohikari 🌾 Rice produced in Fukuoka Prefecture Polished 92% Kake/68% Koji Of the three, my favorite is cola! Aroma of spices in the mouth! Yomeishu Sour 😋. The medicinal taste is similar to the craft cola drinks from Sapporo 🥃✨. I imagined Max🍅 to have a strong acidity like dried plums, but the juice is sweet but surprisingly dry and young🍅🥤. Kiwi 🥝 is the least assertive and easiest to drink koji sour All were delicious 😋😋.

GW has started, but due to work commitments, I can't go anywhere this year. My wife and kids are going to my wife's parents' house, so unfortunately I have to drink a lot of sake by myself. Well, too bad, too bad. The first shot of GW is Librom's cola. Coincidentally, I made my own craft cola last week, so I was curious to open the bottle. The first thing I did when I opened the bottle was to say, "Mmmm, this is a problem! It's not a cola, but a complex spice aroma, or more specifically, a Chinese medicine. Of course, the gassy feeling is a bit gassy. Sweeter than usual. The acidity is also strong. There is also a lactic acidity. The acidity is followed by a long finish. The aftertaste is sweet and sour. The alcohol content is 9%, so it is refreshing and easy to drink. I wonder if this is Librom's newest creation. The spice added to the usual herbs and citrus makes it very complex and unprecedented. I have a kiwi 🥝 waiting in the fridge, so I think I'll open it during the GW.

Three bottles of Librom are waiting in the fridge. I have to open them as soon as possible. This time it is blood orange. When I open it, I can smell the aroma of citrus fruits. When I take a sip, I can't tell if it's blood orange or not, but it has a very nice citrus aroma. The gasiness is still a bit gaseous. After the sweetness, there is a strong sourness. Oh, this is a nice acidity. The acidity is followed by an astringent taste, and the wine finishes with the sensation of having taken a bite out of an orange. The sweet and sour astringency lingers in the aftertaste. I always write about how good it tastes, but this time I think it is even better. The balance between the fruity flavor and the sweet, sour, and astringent after the gassiness is gone is superb.

Opened a bottle of Librom for the first time in a while. Every time I go to the liquor store, I think, "Oh, there's another new one..." But then I remember how empty my fridge is and give up... When I opened the bottle, it sparkled lightly! My hands got all sticky, so I guess it's pretty sweet? Just by putting my nose close to the glass, I could smell the ginger aroma. It also has a nice ginger aroma when you drink it, and combined with the gaseous feeling, it has a ginger ale feel to it. The taste is also quite sweet. The sourness is also noticeable, but the sweetness is more pronounced than usual. The ginger aroma and this sweetness may be the reason why it gives the impression of ginger ale. After the sweet and sour taste, it finishes with a very refreshing astringent taste. The aftertaste is sweetness. For a Librom, it was a sweet drink, but it was really easy to drink like a juice, so I tipped my glass around a lot, which was getting dangerous... Next up: strawberry, lemon, blood orange. It's been a long time since I last visited Librom, which I bought as a New Year's sake, but was pushed away from other new sake in March... The aroma is of fruity mandarin oranges. Not that strong, but the citrus aroma is perfect. The gassy feeling is mochi shuwashu. According to the official Twitter, it is recommended to open it a few months after you buy it, because the gassy feeling will be stronger. The sweetness is moderate and the acidity is strong. It tastes drier than usual, and was probably intended to be paired with New Year's dishes. At the end, the sourness changes to astringency, which is the end of citrus itself. I've tried many craft saké, but Librom is still my favorite. Today I bought a ginger. They're releasing strawberries too, so I've got to catch up fast!

If we were going to open at odd hours on a weekday, we decided to go with something easy to drink, so we chose Librom. This time, it's a Seekwasa. It must be delicious. The aroma is citrusy. I don't know much about what a seekwerser smells like, but it smells super nice. And of course, it has a nice gassy, shwashy feeling. The sweetness is firm, but less than usual. On the other hand, the acidity is strong and intense. It's a Seekwasa, after all. The sourness changes to astringency. This time, the astringent taste is distinctive, and you can feel the seekwasha all the way to the end. Excellent. Another wonderfully tasty Librom. I like Librom with herbs and citrus the best. Gotta go buy some mandarin 🍊s this weekend!
