Really fragrant and fruity. It is also soft to the taste. It is not a food sake, but rather a sake that you would want to eat by itself with cream cheese or dried fruits. Of course, it has a refreshing aftertaste that is typical of sake, but I think it is easy to drink even for those who do not like sake. This is another sake that is not available at local breweries, not available at distributors in Osaka and Tokyo, and not available online (my personal opinion).
(The photo shows a tasting by Hananoka Shuzo, which was also the first time I received this sake.)
It really goes great with food... I was quite impressed that there is a sake that is so refreshing to drink, yet enhances the food without interfering with it. When I visited Kumamoto, I dropped by the sake brewery, but they already had none in stock, much to my chagrin. I looked for a distributor in Osaka or Tokyo, but could not find any... I personally consider it a phantom sake.
(The photo here is from a tasting at Hananoka Shuzo, and the first time I had it was at Robatayaki Yamaroku in Kumamoto)
It has a refreshing taste and is slightly carbonated, making it a perfect match with meals. It is easy to drink even for those who are not fond of sake itself. The aroma is very fruity but not too sweet. Refreshing aftertaste.
(First received at Yukiya, Osaka)
Very fruity. It does not have the strong alcoholic aroma typical of sake and is quite easy to drink due to its low alcohol content of 8%. Even those who do not like alcohol can enjoy it.
(I had it for the first time at Yukiya in Juso)
