Today's final stop in the Ehime sake drinking contest was a brewery in Uchiko Town, Kita County, in Nanyo Prefecture. Again, by coincidence, the choice was made for each of the three prefectures. Maybe I am getting used to Ehime. And this sake was warmed up because of the time of year. It was a sample of how sake can be heated up, and how special junmai and special honjozo sake are delicious when heated up. It was just the right amount of lukewarm and went down a treat. It was just like sake, and I felt that the sake season had arrived.
Here is the description.
Sake level -3, alcohol 16%.
This sake is made from Matsuyama-Mitsui rice produced in Ehime Prefecture, and is a special junmai sake with a slightly sweet taste. It has a full-bodied flavor and is recommended for warming.
