[I was surprised to find out that the only sake from Aichi is "Kamotsuru", which is a limited-time-only sake 😅.
However, the atmosphere and interesting system of the izakaya is worth experiencing ✨ if you visit Nagoya again! ジャイヴ[Leaving Sakatsuya, I went to the former Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in Kanayama to see the "Giant Robots of Japan" exhibition.
From there, we went on a tour of liquor stores, including the main store of Sake Sendo Horiichi, and ended up at one of Nagoya's most famous izakayas (Japanese-style pubs).
[Oijin Honten, a restaurant that is mentioned in Mr. Kazuhiko Ota's books as one of the most famous izakayas in Nagoya.
Of course, we had a glass of this izakaya.
Kamotsuru Barrel Sake
[This sake is said to be limited edition and is served hot.
The aroma of rice flavor rises softly, and the mouthfeel is gentle and delicious, with the aroma of hinoki cypress, which is typical of barrel sake, and then it finishes with a lingering wooden aroma that brings out the best.
The four-ton barrels were emptied in one night, and the sake is so popular that it is shipped in from Hiroshima every day!
The warming staff warms the sake at the perfect time, which is also very intoxicating!
The octopus stew was served with the delicious flavor of octopus and the dashi broth, which made the sake go down endlessly!
The entrée is served buffet style, with freshly prepared dishes being served as they are served.

I am proud to say that I have been to my fair share of izakayas that are considered great restaurants, but there has never been one where I felt that everyone was really enjoying their drinks with a great deal of enthusiasm. A true great restaurant ✨ ジャイヴHi Aladdin!
In Mr. Kazuhiko Ota's book, he wrote that "Daijin Honten" is the pinnacle of izakaya (Japanese style pub).

ヒラッチョMy long-awaited visit to "Daijin Honten" in Fushimi, Nagoya
As an izakaya (Japanese style bar) lover, I wanted to visit this restaurant once.
First of all, I was overwhelmed by the crowded restaurant,
The best was the heated Kamotsuru cask sake, which had a clean cask aroma, good warmth, and just the right amount of richness.
A large sake bottle holds about 2 gou (about 2 cups), and it's so stable that you'll want to drink it all the time.
The snacks are also excellent, and sake drinkers will not be able to get enough of them.
The Mikatagahara potato stew, which was selected from the counter, is a spicy dish with a twist.
The simmered conger eel and squid are soft and exquisite.
A variety of snacks are supplied one after another, and if you go to the counter when you feel like it, you will be annoyed in a positive way by the selection of fascinating new snacks 😌.
The sashimi and other seafood are also said to be of high quality, but this first time I was very satisfied without going that far.

I had a chance to go there before the Corona disaster, but the heated "Kamotsuru" sake here and the fun of choosing and bringing your own entree is unique 😁.
