Premium Houou Mita Hoshi for 22,000 yen I was allowed to taste it at my favorite liquor store. It was said to be a 5 year old 2020 Houou Mita Houou with Tominoko. It has a full, sweet, yet refreshing taste. It seems to go well with all kinds of dishes without interfering with them. It was a special experience on New Year's Eve!

After eating New Year's Eve soba (buckwheat noodles), we had pickled herring roe with wasabi as a snack. It was a nice sake, rich and with a strong sense of rice sweetness!

Immediately after drinking, one senses the sweetness and umami of the rice along with a slight bubbly sensation. It is too rich to be drunk alone, so it must be paired with food. It seems to go well with seafood such as sashimi.
