Banana-like aroma. In the mouth, the same sweetness and umami as the aroma spreads, and the lingering umami is pleasant, making it a sake that you will want to pair with a meal.
I had it at a sake brewery and enjoyed it so much that I bought it to drink at home.
It is sad that the brewery has closed down now that I know such a delicious sake.
The first Miyamasugi.
It has a slightly heavy, umami taste on the palate. Although the alcohol content is high, the 60% polished finish is clean, and the heaviness and the aftertaste of the sake are well balanced.

This year's jungin with comets.
It has a light but soft and robust umami and a slight bitterness on the back end.
When heated, it mellows out and remains refreshing.
I have loved Miyamasugi since the time of its predecessor.
Unfortunately, the brewery will be closed at the end of this season.
I had heard about it before, but it is still sad to see my favorite sake go.
Among the many brands of sake from the local sake brewery I first started visiting about 30 years ago, this sake was my favorite along with Tohokuizumi, Sazanami, and Tennyurin.
I used to buy it whenever I found it.
Some sake is treated as a premier sake, but behind the scenes, many breweries are disappearing... I wonder if it is tough for truly rare sake like Miyansugi to survive....
Side note: I noticed again when I looked at the brewery's address that I used to walk to a place just a short distance from the brewery many times on business... If I had known then, I would have stopped by the brewery.
We are invited to the head office to have a good drink after a not-so-fun work day.
The head office is far away and uncomfortable, so we are bersassa.
Not Mimuro cedar but Miyama cedar. It is complicated.
I chose it because it is rumored to be the last of the year.
The aroma is modest, but the taste is robust.
It is raw, so you can feel its umami strongly. I thought about heating it up, but it seems that hiya is the right choice.
It doesn't have that old sake feel.
It seems to taste good when it is heated up a little.
It has a barrel sake feel, but it is not a barrel sake.
The price for this bottle is 2,000 yen.

Miyamasugi is one of the sake breweries that introduced me to the world of sake.
It had been a while since I found a new junmai sake, so I bought it without hesitation and enjoyed it from the end of the year to the beginning of the new year.
It has the youthfulness and strength of new sake, a modest aroma, good acidity, and a firm umami flavor.
Jungin is good, but junmai is still delicious.
You have to taste it while you can.
Hello 👋😃This is Junmai barrel sake from Miyamasugi ❗When you drink it, you can smell the aroma of the barrel wood. The rest of the sake has a sharp astringent taste 🎵.

I saw the new Miyamasugi sake again this year and bought it without hesitation.
The Junmai was not yet in stock, so I went for the Junmai Ginjo Nama.
The rice seems to have been changed from Yamadanishiki to Ginpu, but Miyamasugi is still there, and the robust flavor and moderate acidity make you drink it slowly.
I enjoy many kinds of sake these days, but this one takes me back to my roots.
PS: I heated up the little bit left (less than 1 gou) to lukewarm and it was also delicious. I should have tried it sooner.
Purchased today at the warehouse❗️
I️ don't see it listed, but it's fresh packed.
They say it is the smallest brewery in Mie 🌾🍶.
It has a juicy melon type feeling 🍈.
It's not too much to say that it's on the level of Saku or Jikin 🍶.
