Then the middle one, "Senryo Otokoyama. Honey-like aroma. The mouthfeel is silky, but the flavor is similar to a juku-shu type. It has a honey and syrupy feel with a touch of pettiness. However, it is easy to drink, with no harshness or bitterness, perhaps because the overall assertiveness is modest! It is crisp but dense. It is a deep taste that is hard to describe!

GW 4 days 3 nights with wife, 1,500km round trip🤣 We went on a Sanriku car trip 🙂. We stayed one night near Sendai and went to Sanriku. We had an ume (sea urchin) lunch box at Kuji station, and spent the second night in Miyako. Miyako's sake brewery, Hishiya Sake Brewery, Senryo Otokoyama. Seafood Cuisine at Murekou, a long-established bar that has been in business for over 45 years. Today we had fresh and delicious seafood dinner at Today, the restaurant was run by a pleasant elderly couple, who were basically just a customer with a reservation, but they were happy to help us at the counter.

At the Iwate Sake Banquet, a customer recommended Senryo Otokoyama. I chose it because I wanted a dry sake, but I didn't realize that it had 20% alcohol by volume, so I chose it first! It was delicious!

National Sake Fair 2025 in Osaka_71 Iwate Prefecture Booth ⑥ Hishiya Sake Brewery is located in Miyako City. Located by the sea, this brewery was damaged by the Tohoku earthquake and resumed sake brewing relatively early with support from all over Japan, and has made a solid comeback. ◉Senryo Otokoyama Junmai Sake A clear sake with a nice acidity and umami that finishes off the taste. The sake is clear, but the acidity and umami give it a nice, robust flavor. Fukurai is proud to have inherited the skills of Katsutoshi Tsujimura, a master brewer who was selected as a "Modern Master Craftsman". Mr. Tsujimura was originally the second toji at Nishida Sake Brewery, which produces "Tasake" (rice wine). He became involved in sake brewing at Hishiya Sake Brewery in the fall of 2005, and the brewery is now run by the brewery's successor.

Polishing ratio 60%, Ginga/Ginbukiyuki 16%, 1,460 yen Slightly dry with a refreshing taste. It's good during a meal. Best served at room temperature or lukewarm. Leaving the Iwate booth, what next?

Senryo Otokoyama Junmai-shu Namaizume When I drove along the coast of Iwate I was attracted by the label "Nama-zume" and bought it. Tonight I drank it with "Shidoke"... Maybe... dry. Sake degree seems to be minus. What a Kiha 40! Too bad I can't make a video of it. I'd love for you to hear the sound of the engine. I'm so glad I came! I wanted to come because there were rumors that the passenger train would be discontinued. The label of this sake matches the train perfectly! Concentrated bitterness, acidity, and flavor! I couldn't buy any snacks, but the sake alone is pleasant to drink!
