A dark, rich yet deep drinking sake. Shikaiou from Fukui Sake Brewery in Toyohashi and a side dish of Yamasa Chikuwa from Toyohashi. A wonderful marriage.
I came across this "Shikaiou" at a sake event and thought it was delicious. I bought it on the internet and finally drank it.
It is light and refreshing, and easy to drink! It's good as a midday drink.
This cup sake is made by Ooshimaya in Toyokawa Inari Monzenmachi. Shikaiou is much spicier and heavier, and has a unique flavor. This time, we served it with hot sake prepared for visitors and Tsuboya's Inari. It's delicious!
