Fukuoka's Favorite Liquor Store
Sumiyoshi Sake Brewery Original
Attracted by the Taisho-romantic label, we welcomed them.
Dark sweet and spicy, yet refreshing.
but the aftertaste is rich!
The word "No-Naru" means "to disappear" in Hakata dialect.
It's one of those bottles that you'll find yourself running out of.
Now here's a review of the sake I bought as a souvenir (I can't go on yet!)
I bought a bottle of Hana no Dew sake🍶 that was not available at Sakebar Fukuzo.
I was allowed to taste the sake at the store attached to the brewery (3rd photo) and bought the once-fired special pure sake since it was hand-carried.
The initial aroma is sweet like honey.
In the mouth, it has a full-bodied sweet flavor with a slightly classical acidity.
It goes well with dishes with strong flavors.
We drank Hana no Dew Josen when we had seiro-mushi (steamed eel) at Motoyoshiya in Yanagawa (4th photo), and it went well with the sweet and spicy flavor of the eel.
It was quite delicious 🍶✨.
Hi Matsuchiyo-san, nice to meet you. Hana-no-Dew has a strong, rich flavor and, as you say, goes well with dishes with strong flavors. Motoyoshiya is delicious, isn't it? Whenever I go to Yanagawa, I go here too 🚙.
I know I'm getting side-tracked, but Hana-no-Dew is a very good sake as a food sake.
I was born in Omuta, but this was my first time to try seiro-mushi in Yanagawa. I am glad I chose Motoyoshiya.
Discreet aroma.
Glossy mouthfeel.
Aromatic graininess with a coffee-like bitterness.
A bit of butterbur and forestiness.
I don't know, I don't really like the taste of this.
It is said to be a food wine, so I wonder if it would be different if it were paired with a meal.
Sumiyoshi Shuhan Hakata Station Store
Local sake, KuraMaster gold medal winning sake. Classic aroma. The taste is clean and refreshing, with a sweet and umami taste of rice, and a rich flavor. It is a classic dry sake that looks good when heated.
This one was also purchased on a trip to Hakata.
The label is retro and cute😍.
I love the name "No-Naru" which comes from the Hakata dialect 🎵.
It was an easy sake to pair with meals 😊.
