The day before the day of the Ox. And the day before my birthday. On such a day, I received a masterpiece from Kyoto! It is perfect for eel kabayaki. It is also perfect for liver skewers. The taste and freshness of this product was impressive☺️.

Subdued but refined on the nose. A generous helping of melon, some peach, and a good dollop of cream cheese and dairy notes. Light and clean on the palate. Again, fresh cheese is prominent, as is fresh, crisp apple flavours. A faint suggestion of hazelnuts or almonds. Body is full and rewarding, yet the fairly strong acidity will have you longing for the next sip. A little light and simple for a junmai daiginjo, but very good served chilled. 4/5

I used to collect sake lids when I was a kid✋🏻They were cork lids back then, but it was popular to cut the part off and play against them on the desk to pop them off✨. The sake lid of this brand is strong and I missed it so I bought it ✌🏻 although Tomiou is more famous as a brewer 🤨. I could feel the aroma of rice in my mouth and it had a clean aftertaste ⤴️.
