As a birthday celebration sake (1)
Sake degree +5, 16%.
Naeba Shuzo took over the brewing of this brand from "Minokawa Shuzo" which ceased operations in 2014 (Heisei 26).
Mild and complex mature aroma.
Rice, nuts, leather, kelp dashi
Glossy mouthfeel
High-grade pickled plum-like acidity
Brown sugar-like sweetness
Complex yet elegant flavor
Mature yet
Spiciness with a sense of presence
Luxurious umami.
Acidity, spiciness, and sweetness overlap in a wonderful balance.
The lingering aftertaste is fleeting, and it is regrettable that it disappears.
A gem that makes you think so.
This is the second alcoholic drink that came out of my room cleaning the other day. We had curry today, so I took the plunge and drank it with it. It was cold, but it cut through the spicy curry and the old sake gave it a mellow taste. I was surprised to find that it was 18 degrees when I was drinking it, thinking it was delicious. Sake goes well with curry.
I'd love to know where you're going! I want to drink it!
It's a rare product that probably doesn't exist except for a private owner because the brewery has gone out of business not so often.
