First impression is porridge.
It's weak at 11 degrees alcohol (...) and seems somehow good for you.
Slightly effervescent. Slightly sweet. When it goes down your throat, it tastes like yogurt! It gradually feels like drinking yogurt. As a lover of sweet and strong flavors, I like it better than the premium raw sake.
This sake is brewed with delicious edible rice developed in Yamagata. I knew of Tsuyahime, but had never heard of Setsuwakamaru. In any case, I had no idea it was used for sake.
I remember trying to visit the brewery in the past, but got lost and gave up.

No taste contrary to the faint fruity aroma.

The aftertaste is refreshing. It is arabashiri, as it should be.
It tastes great when heated. It is just like cooked rice. The softness is emphasized and the stickiness is gone, just like white rice.

The claim is that it is a nouveau (new sake) made from rice (Setsuwakamaru) harvested in a chateau called Shonai Hirano.

I've been drinking sake but skipped posting for a while so I'm posting the labels I had removed💦.
I had a polyp removed by endoscopy 3 days ago and they said no alcohol for a week so I can't wait to be able to drink 🍶.
Setsuwakamaru is the name of the sake rice. It is mild on the palate, with a strong acidity and sweetness. It is fresh and has a strong rice flavor. The alcohol content is high, but there is no unpleasant alcohol taste. It is delicious.
Purchased at Yamagata Antenna Shop in Ginza.
I saw it last year, but failed to drink it.
I drank it cold.
It has a slightly yellowish color.
The aroma is tight and has a slight ginjo aroma.
The taste is rather aromatic and dry for a junmai ginjo, with a strong acidity.
The aftertaste is short and sweet.
