I received this sake for a family birthday.
It has a refreshing effervescence and a muscat aroma that fills your mouth.
While you might expect it to be sweet, it has a crisp, dry finish.
Popped when opened with fizzy mouthfeel. Spicy start which becomes fruity with green apple and caramel. Looks slightly cloudy, but I don’t think it’s a muroka?
Day 3: still pop and fizz. To as spicy as before, with initial fruity and green apple, then umami, mushrooms and long lasting caramel. Wonderful when eating duck cassoulet instead of white wine.
Delicious nihonshu from Sado.
