Ueno indeed. I love it because it doesn't look the best.
The general is so drunk he's overflowing from the first pour lol.
First time I've ever had konyo. I want to drink it hot next time 🍶.
The oden and dashiwari are the best in the world 🍢.
The mouthfeel is refreshing. It is not fruity but refreshing. It has a good aftertaste and is easy to drink. This sake was recommended to us at a liquor store in Miyagi station. I want it again.
Today is my birthday!
I'm having a drink with Satsuma Kiriko, a birthday gift from my wife.
This Kaden is only distributed in a small part of Miyagi Prefecture, and it is a sake known only to people in Miyagi Prefecture.
The rice is grown by the seller, Kaden Jozo, and is brewed on consignment by Haginotsuru. The combination of 100% Sasanishiki rice and Haginotsuru's reliable technology...expectations are high!
The aroma is only softly fragrant and the mouthfeel is crisp. You might expect a little more sweetness to come to the fore, but the sweetness of the rice comes out later. The sweetness is not overwhelming, but it is well balanced and finishes with a thump of alcohol. I think it is a traditional solid sake. It is a hard expression to understand, but it is like the strength of a farm horse.
I drank it chilled this time, but I'd like to try it at room temperature or even warmed up!
Thank you for the treat!
P.S.
I tried it at room temperature. The sweetness and crispness are still there, but it's more dense. Personally, I prefer it at room temperature.
