This is the first Miyamiya Kanmei. The pineapple aroma is light and complex, and it is sharp. No wonder this is Miyagi's number one favorite. Be careful not to drink too much.
Another lovely evening in Naha Okinawa. This time at Ryuryu Chaya. Happy and super friendly staff guided me through a wonderful fish and vegetable meal. First sake from miyagi, as I asked for dry sake. This one very dry but deliciously so. Not so much fragrance, but very clean and pleasing. A slight earthy finish makes it mere complex than the immediate dry punch.
For the record. I like this sake because it has a stylish label among Miyagi sake. The circus held a mini-concert at the brewery on May 18 again this year.
It seemed hard to find outside of Miyagi Prefecture, so I bought some while I was in Miyagi (I later checked and found that it was available in Kanto as well---).
It's not a draft sake, but a fire-brewed sake. I don't really like summer sake, but this one is easy to drink because the acidity is not that strong.
It is not a food sake, but rather a relaxing way to savor the rich sweetness.
I think it's more like a relaxing sweet sake than a food sake.
