It gives the impression of being mild and dark in flavor, with a fruity aroma and sweetness at first, and a slight tanginess at the end. For this reason, it is more of a sake to be enjoyed with sake than a food sake.
This is the last Maikaze series for this year. It's been quite a while, but we'll be having "Mt. Haruna" for the last time!
When the bottle is opened and poured, it has a relaxing sweet aroma. It has a peachy aroma. It also has a slightly banana-like flavor.
The palate is smooth, as is typical of Gunma sake, with a slight sweetness that is typical of "Maifu" and a nice astringent taste that plays an active role in the background!
The astringency also gives it a mineral taste, which I personally feel is similar to the "Tenpyo Junmai" that I drank before👍.
In the latter half, the astringency becomes the main taste, which reminds me of grapefruit. It melts away at the end, so it goes down smoothly!
I've enjoyed many Maikaze series this year, including "Akagisan"✨I'm looking forward to next year!
One cup of Harunasan by Makino Sake Brewery
Gunma-chan cup ☺️.
I bought this as a souvenir after climbing Mt.
Haruna before, but I didn't notice it at the time because I didn't collect one-cups 😅.
The taste is different from the mass-produced one-cups, with a sweeter flavor.
I got the impression that the sweetness became stronger when it was heated up.
It was an easy to drink sake👍
At the end of March, at the beginning of spring, I took a trip to Mt. Haruna Shrine, Mt. Haruna, and Lake Haruna, and after more than an hour's bus ride from Takasaki Station, I arrived at the lake to find the remnants of winter still visible in the mountains and on both sides of the road. After soaking in the Lake Haruna hot springs, I think I spent the entire day looking at nothing but the lake and the mountains. I bought this sake at Takasaki station on my way home. It was not as sweet and refreshing as I had expected. I bought some fried wakasagi (smelt) at a restaurant near the lake just before the bus departed for home, and it would have been better if I had drunk it with fried wakasagi. I was surprised to find that the smell I detected from the wakasagi was the very aroma of the hot spring.
I bought this at Takasaki station on a business trip to Gunma.
I can say that this is a genuinely delicious sake. It's not the latest fad, but it's an attractive taste for sake lovers. To put it another way, it's like a cup of sake made 100 times better.
It's probably a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so let's drink it while chewing it over.
